What can I make out of a shrunken sweater?

My sister's hubby shrunk her merino wool sweater and she gave it to me. It is too small for me. What can I turn it into?

Right now I'm making a purse out of a shrunken sweater. I'm needle felting a design on it before I sew it all up. I've got a stack of felted sweaters marked for hand warmers and leg warmers. You could make stuffies or dolls from it, a wool soaker, a hat, neckwarmer, dog coat, mittens... The possibilities are endless, have fun!

Felt food, change purse, pillow, waterproof pad for the carseat or for under a potty chair, changing pad.

If not too small, you could make a cool knitting needle roll. Add a little needle-felted design to the front. Sew in a long strip of it to hold in the needles (sewing it in small sections/loops for needles to sit in).

add squares of it to other felted sweaters to make a felted throw...

I was at the thrift store Saturday and saw atleast 10 really beautiful sweaters that had been felted! So sad! But, I bought a couple for $1 to make little bags from.

Martha stewart did a thing with making stuff from sweaters a year or two ago... lemme see if I can find the link...

If you do a search over on craftster.org there are tons of tutorials for various felted projects. Oh, the felty goodness!

i made valentines with mine last year. i cut out 3-4" diameter hearts and sewed two together so there was a one inch opening at the top and filled it with candy. i wish i had photos...:
