Interchangeables?

I've looked at the new addis, options, and Denise interchangeables and none of them have smaller than a needle size 4. Aren't most socks done on needles smaller than a four? I'm guessing it's because they can't attatch a removable cord to a needle that small but it's a real bummer that someone hasn't figured it out yet. I'd be all over a set if I thought I could do socks with them too.

I haven't seen any yet either. I just resign myself to needing to buy long circulars to magic loop socks- or dpns, which I suspect are more popular.

I use the Knit Picks 40" circulars for socks. I have 2-ish pair of sizes 1,2,3. I've found though that I don't like the feel of my socks when made on 3s. They're pretty affordable at KP so I'm cool. Would be great if they had them as interchangeables though!

I own the boyds (sp?) set of interchangables and love them!! I use them for nearly everything. The needles range from size 2 to 15. That gives lots of different options. I bought mine on-line, but sometimes they have them at craft stores (like Michaels). Once again, I love them.

The Boyes do go down to 2, but if you like the KP, then chances are you're not gonna like the Boyes. I only bought the Boyes because I found them for $20 - much cheaper than the KP. The cable on the Boyes is quite stiff - stiff enough to not be able to ML, and the junction between the cable and needle is long and bent at an angle which makes it difficult to work with if you're looking for flexibility.

While I have a Boyes set, I'm just waiting until I can get a KP set. I have a few individual KPs and I love them - much easier to work with than the Boyes.

I have a Denise set and I'm waiting till I can get a KP set too. I got to hold the KP needles at a knitting group I went to. They're fab.
