Waiting for contractions Update Post #11... Need Help - Page 2

Waiting is hard, but you will eventually go into labour. I didn't get a single contraction until 88 hours after my water broke with ds2. I really did feel like I was just going to keep leaking forever. I wanted to give up and just go to the hospital, but h talked me down.

I hope that labour has kicked in for you & if it hasn't, I hope you've been able to relax and decided to just monitor yourself & wait. Whatever choice you've made, I hope you have a good birth.

If I were in your situation, I'd likely continue waiting at home. I'd avoid sex with ROM but I'd be talking to my baby about getting ready to come out. I'd also be praying mightily.

I hope that all is well with you and babe, regardless of the decisions you've made. I hope your birthing is happy.

Finally... an update from me

My baby BOY arrived yesterday at 2:14pm. His name is Linus Kenneth Neil and he was 7lbs 13oz, 19 3/4" long (a peanut... his big brother was a pound bigger and an inch and a half longer at birth). He is totally perfect.

The birth went absolutely nothing as planned, but we are both home and doing fairly well (him perfect, me... still in rough shape from a massive postpartum hemmorage).

Thank you for all of the good wishes. I will post a birth story and pictures when I can

Congratulations on your little one. Sorry you did not get your UC, though.

Love the name! Makes me think of Linus on Charlie Brown. Of course probably no one in his age group will ever get the connection .. lol. Congratulations. Hope you are feeling better soon! Take it easy and remember to ask for help if you need it.
