Starting a Sales and Marketing Biz and need advice

I am building my company and have hit a block!! A mentor has given me a task and I'm not sure of the best way to accomplish it.

My company is going to sell the service of marketing and sales for artist with enviro-friendly products. Right now I need to find one artist/product to launch with. Our niche is non-toxic, enviro-friendly, and handmade. So I need to find a product that is not on the internet at this time, fits the bill above and has a high quantity available.

I was thinking of running an ad in the paper. I also want to place an ad on craig's list but can't figure out what section would be best. "Creative Services" maybe? Any thoughts / ideas are welcome and needed!! Where else do I look?

I'm not sure if I understand your situation completely. Your company will provide the marketing and selling of a product but the product must not be on the internet already. So that would rule out anyone currently selling on etsy, with a hyena cart, on craigslist or some other kind of internet store.

What about Art and Wine Festivals or craft shows or farmers' markets?

These would be exactly the venues that I would need but wrong season! I have made flyers I'm going to hang. I think I will also place a wanted ad in the creative services section of craig's list. If no luck here I will look at placing an ad in the local news paper.

are you looking for a person who makes something that is an original idea but not on the internet or a product that a person makes that they dont sell on the internet?

cos finding an original idea that someone is willing to let you use might be quite the strech.

Definitely not looking to use someone's thing but handle the sales and marketing for them. Looking for artists who don't know how to sell so I can do it for them. Definitely it would be better for them to have no web presence! Does not have to be original just enviro-friendly. Kind of the point to say hey, here is a stacking toy made of reclaimed wood not stained or painted with toxins and made by hand with love. Instead of here is this toxic toy mass produced in another country for your little tot to be poisoned with. Know what I mean?
