not sure if this is the right place for this. all of our preschools are private and i'm not sure how it works out when you delay/skip vaccines. i'd like my son to attend dd's preschool in the fall, but he's had just a few shots so far. i'm fairly certain that they won't take him once she looks at his record and i'm just wondering if i have any other options?? he'll be 3 and i can keep him home another year, but he's just dying to go play there.

It depends on the laws in your state. In my state private institutions are required to accept exemptions. In other states they only have to if they take federal funds.

I'm in California too and I visited 3 separate private pre-schools when looking for one for DS. I simply asked matter of fact if they accepted vaccine waivers and all three said yes. I was pleasantly shocked. My DS has been vax free since 6 months and all I had to do was sign the back of the blue card. No fuss, no arguments, nothing! Relax and just ask. I think you may be pleasantly surprised too.
