I've been notified by a friend that the NY bill that will stop school boards from interrogating parents who file a religious exemption will be going to the floor for a vote soon. It is NY Assembly bill A00883. The full text is here:
http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A00883
You can email Richard Gottfried (the health committee chair) to assert your support of this bill to help it along:
http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/?ad=075
If you support the bill, I also urge you to send email to your NY assembly rep to encourage them to vote for it, to stop the harassment of parents who object to vaccination based on their religious beliefs in NY.
The medical bill, A880 may also come to vote soon, so you may want to add your support for that as well: http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A00880
