spotting anyone?

I had one very small amount of spotting at 11dpo, and I just noticed some this morning. I'm really nervous about it. I'm also feeling rather nauseous this morning, and I'm hoping that's not a bad sign. I'll get my betas back today and my progesterone results tomorrow (I'm on prometrium now, so hoping numbers are ok!) but I may call the nurse today and ask her if I should double up on the prometrium till my results come back.

Thinking of you. I know my midwife has said that spotting without any cramping is OK.

When did you get a BFN? Most embryos don't implant until around 10dpo, so it would most likely be implantation spotting, which is very normal. Also, you could have a sensitive cervix, and sex or an exam could irritate it right now. Small spotting is normal, either way. it is heavier bleeding that would cause worry.

I got a bfp at 10dpo. I haven't had sex or an exam, so it's not that. I just got my betas back and at 13dpo it was 69. The nurse said it should be between 100-5000 at that stage, so I guess this is bad news combined with the spotting. God, another m/c. Not sure if I can handle that.

I looked in one of my pregnancy books and it says that spotting around the time you would have had your period is normal and as long you don't get cramps you don't really to worry. Perhaps its worth calling the nurse anyway just to set your mind at rest?

was the nurse wrong? God, I hope so. I checked out betabase and 69 falls within the normal range. in fact, 24% of all betas reported (861) were between 57 and 86 AND 58% were under 86. How the heck did she come up with between 100 and 5000?

I am just lurking here, but I very much hope to be apart of the October DDC after my IUI this month.

Anyhoo, that nurse is mistaken. 69 isn't bad for 13dpo. In fact, a number in the 60s (I forget the exact number) is considered the mean for 13dpo.

The only way that you will be able to tell is my getting a second HCG.

I think the # the nurse was going by was the text book average, real life #s are always different it seems.

FWIW, I had spotting and light cramping on days 27-31 (my bfp was on day 26, 11DPO), I'm 10 wks now and have had some more spotting, but we did hear a heartbeat last week

I feel crampy now and earlier when I went to the bathroom there was blood in my underwear It was a little dark but there was a clot in the toilet (which seems like not a good sign at all), and now in my liner its brighter blood.
Tomorrow I am scheduled to get blood work done to see if I miscarried.
I'm so bummed.

I do believe the nurse was wrong... My numbers at 3w5d was 14 and at 4w1d went up to 130.6. The number doesn't matter so much it is whether it is RISING enough or not that matters. I also had my progesterone checked and it was 13. I am going to pick of a prescription for progesterone today.

I'm sorry mollusk. I hope it wasn't what you fear.

My progesterone level was 15.7 or something like that. Which is right on with what it was at the same time with dd2. Back then we had it checked four days later and it had gone up to 20.6, so I'm thinking we'll do the same thing this time, then adjust as necessary. The nurse said the ob was hesitant to increase my dose because being on prometrium can increase the risk of breast cancer. HELLO! I'd rather take that risk than lose another baby! Jerks.

i've been having bright weird gooey clotty spotting since yesterday. this a.m. i went to the lab to get my blood drawn. they said they'd have results around 4, but i didn't hear anything. i called but didn't get to reach anyone.
i'm just bummed. and feel growse and crampy.
am i supposed to just let this pass on its own? i hope i get to talk to someone tomorrow.

I am sorry I know how you feel.. If you are already bleeding and passing clots you should be able to pass it on your own. If you head over to the pregnancy and birth loss forum there is a lot of helpful info about having a miscarriage.

I have been spotting. It started out brown and then turned red mixed with mucous. I really don't know. I went to a new Ob-Gyn (I have terrible luck with them it seems) who barely had time to even listen to me. He really didn't know that some people can test positive 10 dpo. He didn't seem hopeful but the bleeding is maybe a couple of teaspoons a day, fluctuates between brown and red, I have no real cramping and even though its anecdotal I have known at least 3 people who had similar bleeding patterns in their first trimesters and have gone on to have healthy babies. I got my HcG levels tested today and will get them on Sunday too so I refuse to completely give up hope until I get those results back.
