Can I get a recommendation?

Right now I have a hotsling and DH uses a baby bjorn carrier that someone gave us.

While I like the sling, I don't love it. I love the fact that he's all snuggled next to me, but it just doesn't seem to be as flexible as I need to be.

I think I like the wrap style. I don't like backpack-like carriers like the baby bjorn.

I have one week day off a week and tend to run all my errands on that day. I usually take both kids to give DH a break. We're in and out of car seats a bunch of different times, so something that I can wear while driving and just quickly pop DS in/out of without un-doing or re-doing the entire thing would be ideal.

Budget is and isn't an issue. I'd rather spend $$$ on a quality carrier than a stroller. That being said I don't make a ton of money.

If any of you have an recommendations that would be greatly appreciated! I want to enjoy this experience 100%.

Well, exactly this purpose is one of the reasons I use my woven wraps for. I pre-tie before leaving home and never take it off! I just pop baby in an out as needed and keep the wrap on. I also like the weight distribution and support, as well as versatility I get from a woven wrap (can be used as hip carrier, back or front carrier). And you can find good quality woven wraps used (and brand new ones too) for less or around $100. But, the good thing is that it'll work from babyhood through toddlerhood. They take some practice to learn, but once you become a wrapper, you are hooked!

I also recommend a wrap. A ring sling would work well for errands also.

I vote ring sling or wrap. I could never make a pouch sling work well for me and DD, but I adore my ring sling and used my wrap a ton when DD was smaller. I think if you're going to be using it for any length of time a wrap would be more comfortable since the weight is more evenly distributed.

I too could not get a puch to work for me (they are finicky to fit). I love my ringslings. I have several made from wraps that are gorgeous. Wraps are also good. You might also consider a supportive mei tai or ssc (soft structured carrier). SSCs have the ease and convenience of buckles, but offer a much better/comfy seated position for the baby, and great shoulder/hip support for the wearer. The beco, ergo, angelpack or connecta are all good. Check out www.thebabywearer.com for lots of helpful info. Happy shopping!
