should I make bamboo prefolds or flats?

I can't decide... I'm thinking I'll either make 3 layer flats (a layer each of terry, fleece, and velour), or 2x4x2 prefolds with an outer layer of terry, inner of velour, and the soaker layers of fleece. Either way they'll be roughly the same size and snappi-able. It seems like flats would be easier to make but probably a little bulkier since the sides won't be as thin. Help me decide!

I'm facing a similar diaper quandary, but we don't have a dryer, I dry stuff in front of a wood stove, so I am leaning toward flats. You could make one of each as a test, and compare drying time, absorbency and ease of use
