Anyone watching the L word this season? I did not see a thread for it, perhaps I missed it.
Any thoughts?
I am personally very disappointed in the who killed Jenny story line. I don't want the show to end, especially that way.
I am interested in your thoughts.

I don't mind that so much as the Shane/Jenny bit. My dh started gagging at the end of the last episode. Those two are just soooo wrong.

I am totally annoyed with the storyline for Alice's spinoff show.

I am wondering if they are trying to trick us, with the spin-off show etc. Perhaps Jenny really doesn't die... Maybe it's a dream or part of her newest novel? I actually kind of like Shane and Jenny together. I also really like Max's storyline and wish they showed more of it.
I just pray they don't give the baby to Bette and Tina, I thought they might be setting it up that way since they are looking to adopt.

I was so freaking happy that Jenny died in the first episode and then pissed when I realized the rest of the season will be flashbacks and I have to keep seeing her. Most annoying character EVER. I don't have the Shane crush that everyone else seems to, but she is still way too good for Jenny.

I was shocked about Max! I did not see that coming! I haven't been thrilled with the way they have handled the transgender issue, and this certainly isn't helping. :

Clearly, I think I could write something better! I don't think the show has worked well for several seasons, but you better believe I'll keep watching til the very end!

I totally did not know a new season started! How many have I missed? I can't even remember what happened at the end of last season. I am running now to check showtime on demand.

Oh, I hated this show so much in the first season. I anticipated it so excitedly, then when it finally came on I was so MAD at the end of each episode. Because it was so BAD. But I gritted my teeth and watched each episode faithfully and hopefully, until the end of the season. I gave up and haven't watched since.

Until a few weeks ago. I caught an episode from last season and I can't believe it. I love this show now, and am now watching reruns from every season except the first one.

And I'm really enjoying this last season.

That's funny because most people love the first couple of seasons and hate the most recent ones.

Yeah the spinoff with Alice is called The Farm will be airing next year I think? Just google it and you can read what it's about. It's not good.

This is the last season and I have little hope in a happily ever after for everyone.

I've watched this show since the very first episode, and even though I liked the first few seasons more than the last, I'll still watch til the end. I have all the seasons on dvd too. Some of the explicit scenes are GREAT!!!! But they used to be better in the earlier seasons. I think it all started going downhill after Dana died.

I don't like that this season is all flashbacks, either. I can kinda see Jenny and Shane together. I'm a HUGE Shane fan. Gimme gimme! But she's almost as crazy as Jenny! She's got issues! She can understand Jenny and deal with her and Jenny might be ok with her infidelity. Maybe it would work. My DW thinks that Jenny is just playing her and drawing her close to make her fall in love and then will break her heart at the end to get back at her. And that's why Shane "hates her" and she's a suspect in her death. I think it's a good theory.

I'm interested to see the Max storyline. I hope they don't get even more "tabloid" with it. It could be done well. We'll see.

Every Sunday night my DW and I have a fake argument about Alice and Tasha. She thinks they should break up now but I want to see them stay together. Tasha is HOT!!!

I like Tasha too, she's has a really sexy laugh. I feel they are making Alice unlikeable again although she was sooo cute in the green bloomers and glasses on the 1st episode of the season, when they were on the sofa bed.

I love Shane and can't stand Jenny. Two screwed up people are not a good combo. That's why I loved Carmen with her. She was the light to Shane's dark. I hope the rumors are true that she'll be in the finale.

I have always liked Max's character, but not always liked the way they wrote the scenes. I would love for them to show more of Max's character, not just little lame scenes here and there.
I like Jenny and Shane together. I am still hoping that maybe Jenny really isn't dead, that this is part of a new story she is writing.
I do not like the idea of the farm spin-off.

Eh. I find Alice to be slightly annoying, trying too hard to be cute yet hardass or something. Maybe I just don't like femmes.

I found the 'explicit' scenes to be forced at best. Not that I'm looking for soft porn, I'm really not, but if it's going to be there, Lindsay and Mel are a far better thing than anything that I've seen on L Word.

oh i'm bummed. this was the only reason i signed up for cable in the first place and then we had to cancel showtime because it's too much $$.

i've watched since the beginning too and i can say i liked the first few seasons better.

i LOVED carmen with shane and i'm kinda bummed to read that shane and jenny got together, ugh, so not right. i think it was better with dana too, and her redheaded girlfriend was HOT. who was that again? laura?

i think the way they handle max is just kind of lame too, it's like this little side story they keep bringing back for effect but it doesn't have any real bearing on the plot.

and yeah, keep tasha keep tasha keep tasha. i kind of like her with alice but whoever she's with i think they should keep her instead of dropping her like they seem to do with chartacters all the time. remember marina?

anyhoo, i'll have to wait to netflix it but i love reading about it.

OT does anyone watch Life? Sara Shahi (Carmen) is in and she's fab hot in that show too but it seems so wrong when she's paired up with a guy. When she has a sex scene with her boss on the show I am appalled that she went from Shane to that guy...lol.

I have to say that I am VERY disappointed in this final Season.
Obviously not much to say about it because the thread has not been active.
WHY! waste our last episodes on frivolous boring things... I am so sick of Jenny come on we got the point she is crazy. I think she is playing Shane.
The Helena scene is also ridiculous, WHAT is she thinking?
And what about poor Max, 2 weeks ago she was pregnant and her b-friend(can't remember his name) leaves her, and not even a mention of Max in this last episode.
And Bette and Tina... my gosh overdone and tired of it. Oh well
If this wasn't the last Season, and if I haven't loved the show from the beginning I wouldn't waste my time to finish it. But I have watched it this far so perhaps all of this drawn out stuff will lead up to something. I hope.
Hopefully I will have good things to say about one of my favorite shows next week.

I'm not watching, but DH is. I quit a season or two ago because I've never liked Jenny. I could deal when she was part of an ensemble cast, but once it became the Jenny show, I quit. Apparently that was really common, their audience numbers fell dramatically and they went so far as to announce in advance that she would be killed early on in this season to try and drum up a bigger audience again.

I watched. I've never been as hard on this show as others who watch it. Even when it's been bad, I've still loved it. I will forever miss my girlfriend Shane!



I would have liked a bigger punch of an ending! I wish they would have really told us who killed Jenny. What do you think? I could argue both sides of it being Nikki or Bette. I guess I think it was Nikki. I'm glad it wrapped up just HOW bad Jenny was! The tapes, Shane finding the letter! That was great! I'd love to see a follow up a year later for just an hour to see what the characters would be doing. Did Shane get back with....forgot her name...Cybil Shepard's daughter? Did Max keep his baby and become a great dad? Did Bette and Tina adopt? How much longer did Tasha and Alice last?
