I caught a few episodes on On Demand when I was sick one day. I saw the one with the baton twirling mom. I felt like crying when they showed her little girl in the audience cheering her on. It's just so sad to think that she probably thinks her momma looks beautiful up there...but the truth is that people are watching and making fun of her.

I assume this is on cable cause I never heard of it...oh well..I would love to watch and make fun of the parents. These pageants are soooo ridiculous...and why I love little miss sunshine.

Ugh, did you see the one where the pageant director said you had to be pretty to get a job and she wishes it wasn't that way? Does she not realise her job is to say how pretty itty bitty kids are???

My 6 y o DD did not like this show at all. I figured she would see one episode and really get in to it so we watched it one night. But nope.

I'm not sure if it's the same show but I saw a show a while back about little girls in Fla doing a pagent and the episode with the mom that got upset at her DD for coloring outside the lines on her poster kind of bothered me. The poor kid ended up winning in the end but her mother was so rude to her throughout the show. She was also rude to her DH when he was supposed to have some t-shirts printed up with her DD's face on them. I can't stand how these children are exploited and taken for granted just for being pretty.
