AIO or Prefolds

I used the regular old style prefold diapers with plastic covers with my daughter and it wasn't so bad. I always thought I'd sew diapers for the next one, but here i am in my 2nd trimester and not so sure that's how i want to spend my time. I was just wondering if anyone who has used both could give me their opinion on weather or not sewing a bunch of different diapers in various sizes was worth the trouble or not? I'm also pretty new to sewing, so the first couple would take a lot of time and effort.

Hi, I sewed several different sizes of pocket AIO dipes, and also used Indian prefolds with covers that I sewed. I liked using the AIO's, but they didn't seem to be much less fuss than using the prefold, snappy and cover. Now that DD is 10mo. and the AIO's are getting small, I intend to just keep making larger covers and use the prefolds.

I have a variety of diaper styles which I"m happy for when dh or babysitters are changing diapers. I'm not sure my babysitters would be willing to learn to do pfs. But I think pfs are fine. For this new babe, we'll probably have mostly pfs with a few fitteds for going out (since they hold poop a bit better for me) and a few aio's for night time (when you can't open your eyes). That's my plan. : )
