This is a wonderful idea. Religious Jews do this; it is called a yahrzeit or yizkor.

January 20 my Aunt
March 16 my sister
August 30 my DH
November 6 my Father

I am on Pacific Time.

We lit a candle at midnight for the past 2 nights and we will keep them going. This has been a wonderful way for me to talk to my 3 yr old daughter about our family dynamic, loss, grieving, and hope.

I send the warmth of our candle to each of your homes.

my children and I always talk about why the eternity candle is lit -- it open the conversations to share good things, to laugh a little and remember our loved ones.

I really like this and will be coming back again for another date.

I would like to take March 17 - 19 inclusive if it's still available... that will be the one year anniversary of my mothers death. (she passed on the 17th and was buried on the 19) She was 54yrs old and a beautiful person.

Mom2Princess I never got to say goodbye either and I will regret it forever. Be gentle with yourself in your grief... I will light a candle for her tonight.

Can I have March 8th? It would have been the due date of Miss Aislin Violet. She was the victim of an unnecessary medical termination in 2002.
