I thought it might be fun to share some links to songs that we love. But don't just list the songs or post the links, tell what the songs mean to you and which lyrics touch you the most.

Here's mine:

Heal Over by KT Tunstall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsym2BFX654

"Doesn't take genius to realize that sometimes life is hard."

"Let me wipe your tears away
Come a little nearer baby
Cuz you'll heal over,
heal over someday"

The whole song is actually so touching. It's my blubbering song.

And Turpentine by Brandi Carlile
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzXhoMOn90Q

"Some days I wish I was ten again so we could be friends again"
-Sorrow for lost childhood friendships.

Jeff Buckley, Hallelujah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AratTMGrHaQ
-Oh the pain of love!

From "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles:

"Little Darling
It's been a long cold lonely winter"

Ever since I moved to Canada, I sing this line REALLY loudly!!

Oh, and from "Shakespeare's Sister" by The Smiths:

"I can smile about it now
But at the time it was terrible."

I first heard this when I was going through some soap-opera-ish 20yo angst. I thought "Yep, that's what will happen" and it helped me get through.

I LOVE the Smiths!

Murihiku, here's link to some bands influenced by the Smiths that you might like: http://www.mevio.com/music/?inf_id=514

I love Here Comes the Sun! I sing it whenever the sun pops out after a long cloudy spell.
