what did you do towards the end of CDing?

DD is *almost* PLd. She is at home and wets about 1 each day at daycare and she's dry at night. So do I wash 5 diapers a week?

What is everyone's experience? I really don't want to go to disposables at daycare. Do I just do a 'small' wash? I don't want to leave them longer than a week or else they start to smell.

Thanks!

Personally, I would throw the wet diapers in with your regular wash. When my kids have accidents and pee in their undies/pants I just wash them with their other clothes. Come to think of it, I probably did it if they pooped in their undies too.

We switched to pull up training pants that had a light absorbency. Overnight we did 'sposie pull ups and she'd wear the same one if it was dry from the night before. My kid was strange in that she didn't stay dry at night until long after she was day PL'd.

I've always had a baby when toddler was potty learning, but I would do the same as the previous posters. If it is just pee, do it with the regular laundry. I would swish out any poo in the toilet and wash with the laundry with a little tea tree oil - that is what I do with the kids undies when they are constantly not wiping well enough.

Yep, just wash the occasional wet ones in with regular laundry

Yeah, me too. A little pee in with the regular laundry never grossed me out too much. If I ever had a really wet or stinky dipe I would just do a small dipe load.

I'm the exception in that I did a small load, like 5 dipes. Even though the were just pee. It doesn't seem to make sense now, though

same here. My answer was going to be, "have another baby to cloth diaper" but maybe that wasn't the answer you were looking for.

When I was at that stage, I set my washer to the extra small load size, and did a rinse cycle for the few pee diapers. Then washed them with all the other laundry.

my situation is a little different- my son has been PLed for almost 2 1/2 years but still wets often enough at night to wear a nighttime dipe. I rinse in the sink in hot water, wring it out, and hang to dry. Then, when all the dipes are dirty, I do a diaper load- like old times. I wash in a shared laundry room though so I can't control settings, and have to pay the same regardless of the load size...

anyway we are having a new babe in April so I guess I'll just go back to a regular diaper pail then.
