(if you once a month put a certain amount of money into your savingsaccount, wouldnt those records witness of a 'trustworhty payer'?)

I think that works if you have a savings account at a credit union and you apply for a loan there. I think that's what they told my sister to do before they would give her a car loan (she had almost no credit--just one credit card for less than 6 months).
