I want to see if I can make some one size wool covers, but I have some questions
1. How many layers of wool? Is one enough or are two better? Will 2 layers be impossibly bulky on a newborn all snapped down?
2. Which type of wool fabric? I hear alot about interlock, would that be thick enough to just use one layer?
3. What is the most natural type of wool? What does organic mean for wool? I'd like wool that is processed without any harsh chemicals if possible.
4. When I put in elastic will I be able to get it as tight as I can with non-wool fabrics? I have some wool covers where the eslastic is not very tight, as in it doesn't cinch the wool in very much.
5. What are good ways to avoid wing droop? At first I thought about copying a OS BG pocket since I don't have this issue with them. But I also have a Wahmies OS pocket that would have fit my babies when they were newborns whereas a BG OS didn't. I'm concerned about wing droop when they are snapped down to the newborn size. The Wahmies is a four size pocket and I would like to make my covers to be like that if possible. But this diaper fastens the front onto the back partly to avoid wing droop. That will be kind of complicated to replicate with snaps so I'm hoping someone knows of an easier way.
TIA!
