Anyone paint/sculpt.... with young DC? DS is 4 and DD is 2. When I paint, I have to go down deep to get to the place where I am painting. Meaning, I can not paint, and answer questions, and help DS with a letter, and watch DD try to stand on her head all at the same time. I can do this if I substitute washing clothes, making dinner, doing a puzzle... with the painting. But when painting, I can not give my DCs the attention they need and deserve.
So, I just don't paint. To get around this, in the last 6 months I have started to paint again at night when they are sleeping. I get a few good hours, but the lighting and color is not optimal.
Do you paint at night? Do you have DH take your DC while you paint a few hours on the weekends? Do you give your DC art projects, and work side by side? If so, how old are your DC(s)? Some other brilliant plan?
