AFM Back from my NY trip. Feeling stress free and hopefully cyst free. I have an appt tomorrow at 3 so we will see. When I went 2 weeks ago the Dr said I was bleeding so much because of the cyst. After 2 weeks on BCP I thought that AF would go away but it's still lingering...does that mean I still have the cyst?

hey all... trying to catch up. I have been MIA- life is so freakin busy right now. Decided to take the month off cause of the cysts and no repeat u/s before I was supposed to start clomid. Good thing! Cause I still had 3 big cysts on CD9, but I also had 3 follies on the right side (cysts on the left) that measured 10,8, and 7. Dr says he doesn't know if I will O b/c of the cysts, but I got a positive OPK yesterday. So, I guess we will try it "old school" this month.

Hey All, sorry I have been absent lately....work and life have been kooky!!

AFM- I am freaking out a little today.......I had my 2nd iui on Sunday. Everything looked much better than last month. My lining was 9 mm (6 mm last month), DH's numbers were 32 mil (8 mil last month) and I had 2 good follies. So, we were feeling very good about this cycle. Yesterday afternoon I went to my acupuncturist, who suggested some acupuncture purely for relaxation purposes, which we did. Then last night at around 10:00, I went to the bathroom and noticed some brown blood. It continued this morning, more red and I had some mild cramping. I called my doc, who told me not to worry unless it turns into a more heavy flow, buut he did call in some progesterone suppositories and told me to start those today. I have never done those before. As of right now, I am still bleeding, enough to need a liner, but not as heavy as AF. HELP!! Has anyone ver experienced this before? Did the acupuncture mess things up?? I know it is too early for implantation, so I can't imagine what is going on...........

Lola: Hang in there. Could it be that they just irratated the lining when they did the IUI and then the accupuncture which promotes better blood flow makes it for a little more bleeding than usual? Just a thought.

I was on the suppositories and found it to be a discusting mess. The stuff builds up like concrete. Not to be too gross, but you might need help getting it out. Now, I am taking the pill version, but I hear the suppositories work better. Take care.

Yeah, I've been on the suppositories every 2 wks for over a year and let's just say I've given up on comfort. They seem better in comparison to the intramuscular progesterone in oil shots my DH will be sticking my butt with during ivf though. It's all Ugh.

But the real word of the day is, CONGRATULATIONS GUMBY! :

Ha, ha, ha...I too am on the suppositories. To tell you the truth, I prefered the shot in the butt after ivf over these. At least then it was over with and I had a lot less trouble remembering.

Thank you gumby, for the reassurance. I will go with your theory until I hear otherwise!! So, the suppositories are even more fun than the clomid, huh?!?! Great! I guess at this point I am just going to try and relax and hope for the best.........sigh.

Well after 2 weeks of BCP the cyst has only gone from 67cm to 58cm (I think it is cm or is it mm?) Anyway on BCP for one more week and if the cyst isn't gone or way smaller like 6cm he wants to go in laporscopically<---spelled that wrong. to remove it. With my insurance my max out of pocket is $5,000. Hope these pills work and shrink it in a week.

Anything I can do to make it go away. Vitamins, foods, a metal hanger? lol

I cried at the office then came home and ran to the grocery store with DH. Guess what the three 13 year olds were buying in front of us? A PREGNANCY TEST! GRRR!!!

well, it looks like I have a full blown case of AF, 4 days a fter iui. Go figure.....even my RE says that its "highly unusual". I can only conclude that the acupuncture did something, bc I was fine before that.......I'm in a horrible mood....what a bust.

lola88--so sorry. I know how it feels when you try so hard only to be let down again. I am wondering if you you might have any chance a polylp or firbroid popped during the IUI. Then the AP just made the blood flow better. I feel so bad cause I know how it feels. I have so many wasted months and we are the same age. I right with you girl. Maybe have the doc for next cycle start you on immediately progesterone.

becky--I had 3 HUGE cysts on my left ovary. I was on bcp for 3 weeks. They went away. Maybe another week your cyst will be gone. It might take more pills if its huge. But eventually it should go away with the bcps.

juliasmom--hows your 2ww?

poet--how are you doing? I think you are on lupron now. How is that going for you?

nummies--gl with this cycle. I think you said you are not doing no meds. I think the progesterone is a good idea. It doesn't hurt anyways.

crystal-mommy--gl with the good ole school way. I have to laugh when I say this. How weird that we can have a baby the old way.

hello to everyone else who are forgot, so many of us to catch up.

AFM--I am still bummed out about all of this. I have a post-op appt with the surgeon on March 2. I will not know the details what had happened in the OR. I just heard from dh that tubes are totally blocked and only option is IVF. Yup its still hard to wrap this around my head. I can call the nurse for the post-op notes but I figure I really should hear it from the surgeon. I still can't believe this happened, very shock.
