Direct Health 2000, which has 16 clinics across the UK, has a waiting list of 16,000 for the single jab.

...Last night, experts warned if children remain unvaccinated it could lead to a major outbreak of mumps in Britain – during the last outbreak, in 2003, 43,000 people fell victim to the infection.

England...and all of the rest of the UK...already HAVE an ENORMOUS mumps epidemic. It's not new.
And it's not from "antivaxers"....it's from an ineffecive strain of mumps being inocculated!

Just look at US and Canadian recent epidemics of mumps...you can't blame "low vax uptake" here in North America.

Why is no one looking at the vax manufacturer? In these cases where vax uptake is supposed to be good enough?
The attention should be focused on the vax manufacturers, not the consumers, when the same thing happens in countries with super-high vax uptake.

And even in spite of that, what was the death toll?
It sounds so serious...but exactly how many died?

Anyone?

Please find out!
Out of those almost 50,000 mumps victims, how many died?

you guys the mumps is serious. it's better to risk neurological damage or death from vaccine then get the MUMPS! this is the mumps we are talking about!!

wouldn't it be interesting if they couldnt meet the demand of vaccines needed, but the mumps died off?

looking for info on mortality... not finding it but found this:

There have been warnings that the fall in the take-up of the MMR, blamed on controversial and hotly disputed links that have been made between the vaccine and autism, will result in more outbreaks of measles and rubella. Less attention has been paid to mumps, which is often considered a benign illness with low mortality rates. But doctors warn that it should not be underestimated.
It's benign, but watch out!

Lol. Not to mention prior to the MMR being introduced in 1988 the British National Formulary pronounced a mumps vaccine was not needed because the disease is so nonserious.

Was there ever a problem with guys or girls being sterile from mumps? I have known guys being sterile from cancer or an injury, but never mumps.

Of course not. Every major health organization in the world says mumps-infertility is too rare to calculate an incidence for. But of course, every radical provaxer who is both lacking in fertility and had mumps (or knows someone who is infertile and had mumps) as a kid will blame their infertility on mumps, even tho it's not backed by science.

Dr Sears the younger states in his vax book that mumps is usually non-serious for kids, but can be more serious in adults. It's not one I'm personally worried about.

OMG! I thought you were being serious! I hadn't scrolled down my screen far enough to see your smiley face!

sorry LOL I just have to bring humor to it sometimes because some of it i just find positively silly! not that I think being sick is silly, but I think the overhype is amazing. Kind of like when they predict a catagory 3 hurricane, and then we get a 10 minute thunder storm. half the town is running around like headless chickens in a mad scramble for the much needed batteries... because you know, can't survive a hurricane without 10 packs of batteries!

I had mumps at six months old and am now pregnant with #4. Sterile? I think not.
