Wow I'm spotting on CD25. Last month my cycle was 27 days. They are not usually this short? I know I'm not pregnant unless the condom failed. We have been very careful.

We are in the same boat. I have a few tricks I am going to try. My cycles are pretty darn predictable. this mo we dtd with a condom on the day I think would be about 4 day before o. We'll see.

So I am psyched!!! I am 8+ lbs closer to ttc!!!. I don't really know where I want to stop before ttc but I know I want to be less than I was pre pg which is 12 lbs to go. I think I will start to consider it when I hit 30 lbs lost. I may get antsy when summer comes so hopefully I can keep it up.

: That's exciting! Did you stop taking the progesterone and estrogen? I didn't see them on your chart. What are you doing to balance your hormones?

That's great that you are losing weight and getting closer and closer to your goal. I'm struggling with that right now. I keep bouncing back and forth losing 5 lbs and then gaining it back. If I go on a diet, I lose it. Then I get bored and want to eat everything I want again and I gain it back. I've given up on the dieting. It just doesn't work for me. I'm one of those rebound dieters that goes on a binge afterward. I make wonderful plans to exercise every day and I do it maybe once a month. I have about 10 lbs to go to be at pre-pg weight and 15 to get to my personal goal. I am a little concerned about being pregnant with the extra weight. Every time I get pregnant I'm a little heavier and they say women add permanent extra weight with each pregnancy. Anywa, blah...

I'm on cd22 now. 6 days of ewcf so far with no O. My temps are dropping, which may mean I will O soon. I hate this waiting to O part when it drags on like this. My pelvis is very tender. It hurts if anyone touches it.

Yeah I am still using them for one more month. My bloodwork showed that my levels were on the very low end of normal, so one more month of hormones and then just herbs. I am using two herbal blends, one is similiar to vitex. Even though my hormones were up, they were not balanced at all! Oh and I am also doing milk thistle to help the liver. :

Momongeon- It's exciting to be working toward ttc isn't it? Dh on the other hand is acting like his life is going to be over in a year and a half...he thinks he will have to quit his band, etc, etc Hey at least hes sticking to the year and a half goal!

Yeah it is really exciting!!! Life definitely changes when you have children. The trick is to balance one life with the other. I am confident that when you have a little bundle in your lives nothing else will seem as important. We (as in me) have to step back a make time for all the things that once defined us (that is, me). Welcome his fear and try to embrace your own. It will help you define what is important to the two of you to maintain when you become parents. It may even mold what type of parents you want to become.

The weight is not permanent. the extra tissue that one is a little hard to get rid of short of plastic surgery.

What if you set a smaller goal. If 15 lbs seems too far off start out with 1.5 lbs. or 7.5 lbs. Allow yourself enough time to lose it so you don't feel too pressured but be realistic. Don't diet. It is too hokey pokey. I have a book called Mindless Eating which is helpful for putting things into perspective. They suggest using smaller plates so you feel like you are eating more. Eat the snacks you can't stay away from but only take out a serving size or 2 or what ever you want and put the rest away but set a reasonable limit and stick to it. The other option (hard with snacky kids) is to just not bring it in the house. If it isn't there you can't eat it. I have seen your weight loss chart. I can see that you do well with the enthusiasm that everyone has at the beginning of a weight loss program. It is just about staying focused.

...Now when my weight stops falling off and I go back to all my bad habits remind me to practice what I preach, PLEASE!!!

We could support each other if you want, b/c I am exactly like you. When I "fail" at a diet I go in the opposite direction and I actually think to myself that I don't care if I get fatter. It just feels so good to indulge. I don't want to fall back into that trap again. This time I have to do it no matter how slow I am doing it.

BTW the program I love and am using is Weight Watchers. I love the support of the meetings, Having to be accountable, And having the ability to eat the food I like.

When I said permanent I meant that women tend to add more weight with each pg without being able to get rid of all it between pgs. I'm sure it has to do with age, too. It was a lot easier for me to get back in shape after ds1 when I was only 21...a lot harder now that I'm close to 40.

I did WW for a while and it did work. I got sick of having to think about and keep track of what I was eating. I just want to eat what I want when I want and not have to think about it. KWIM? I've only tried WW and Nutrisystem. They both worked so I didn't fail at them. The problem was they worked too easily so I decided I could go forget about them and then I gained the weight back. That's why I've decided not to worry about it at this point and just exercise whenever I can. After ds2 I hung on to the extra weight until he was 2. That's when my body finally decided to start dropping it. I'm hoping that will happen again with ds3. We'll see. He'll be 2 in June.

So the spotting was definately my period starting. I took my temp this morning and it didn't really lower much

I've only been charting 2 weeks so I guess I will just have to be patient until I see the pattern.
nichole, FWIW my temp doesn't drop until well into my next cycle a lot of the time.
Nope, AF wasn't late. Right on schedule actually. It's just funny how some cycles are longer than others. At least the LP is relatively constant. I've narrowed it down to 12-14 days. BTW I'm on CD 2.

Congrats to those of you loosing weight, getting healthier, and coming closer to TTC!!

Me, too. Not everyone's temp drops right before or during AF.
using the "How to Choose the Sex of your Baby" is based entirely on charting for months before you even begin ttc. He won't guarantee his success rates otherwise. It's for the exact reason... to become familiar with your cycles and a general time-frame... and then being very conservative in when you begin with trying for a girl. Then you can move closer to your O area if you aren't achieving pregnancy.

I'm 11dpo and awaiting AF. I'm cramping pretty bad... so I'd say in the next two days probably. After traveling messing up my post-o temps, I decided not to put them in since I was so far post-O anyway... and I'll just start temping with cd1 of my next cycle. I'm taking them... but they have been pretty irrelevant at this point. Traveling, Very interrupted sleep, colder rooms in the house we were staying at, came back to our freezing house (I turn the heater off if we are gone all day.. and we were gone all weekend). I figure any temp drop at this point is only going to tell me that I'm starting my period... but we'll see..

I was one of the only people I know who put on more weight breastfeeding than my pgs. I hope you were not offended but when I said "fail" I meant that as a sarcastic negative toward myself. I fear failure and have been working on looking at things differently. The feeling of failure with dieting made me think F-it and I gained the weight back and then some. This is my 3rd go at ww. It worked really well each time. I lost interest in writing stuff down too.!! I have even found myself slacking already and it has only been 3 1/2 weeks. I love the e-tools. It make keeping track easier. I just have to remember what I ate to enter it in at the end of the day. I am just going to keep plugging along. I am not going to yo-yo anymore. Any support would be great.

No, I wasn't offended at all. I just thought you may have misunderstood what I said. No worries. I'll offer support but I don't know how helpful I'll be since I can't stick to a weight loss program myself.

Im back!

My FF chart
My Ovusoft chart

CD1 here. Just had a short cycle...29 days with an 8 day lp. Shorter cycle for me but a longer lp for a change (by 1 day...well according to FF who says my average lp is 7 days). I'm sort of looking forward to being back to charting. DH isnt.
CD1 for me here. Looks like we are starting to sync on AF look some kind of internet girl power

I guess my O date was wrong because what I set as O day means I only had a 10 day LP. The past 4 cycles have all been 12-14 day LP. So I will move my O date 2 days earlier and assume the missing temp was a high one. Or maybe my PCOS is coming back and my cycles are going wacky

OMM - welcome back! Remind me where you went.....I am forgetful

Hey, me too!

I'm wondering though, I had a tiny bit of spotting and slowly dropping temps over the last couple of days. My temp is still somewhat high. What is the physiology behind premenstrual spotting? I'm pretty sure mine was cervical. It was kind of mucousy and brownish.
