Thanks so much, everyone, for all the advice re the blood draw. I wish it was a heel prick - it's a full-out blood draw. But your advice is great. And Rynna, I was really glad to read your post about it - it just never occurred to me that it might not suck, since I tend to find them a little painful myself (at least that first stick, even with the good nurses)! But hey, this is a baby who takes a spoonful of unflavored cod liver oil and then licks the spoon, so maybe she'll find blood draws fun!!
(And Gena...we've been skirting around not doing it at all...but our apt is in a fairly old house too and I'm mildly paranoid so I am leaning towards it. And now that I have advice on how to do it, I feel better about it.)
Gena, glad your dds & mom are looking better...
Julie - your pics are marked private - how do I get to see them on flickr?
And Lauren - I commented on your blog - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Robin, and thanks for sharing your amazing birth story!
How much FUN is it to dress up our babies? I have to post a pic of what I dressed Mia in today (once I upload some pics that is) - a short-sleeved dress, with legwarmers on her arms and legwarmers on her legs. It was, like, the cutest outfit EVER. I would love to dress myself the way that I dress her, but I just don't think I could pull it off. Ha!
(Emily...thanks for the note re: the video...actually, last night I watched it for the first time in a long time & practically bawled! I can't believe it has been almost a year since Mia arrived!)
