do you count your cast on row

When counting rows, ie: knit 20 rows, do you count your cast on?

I don't usually count it as it's not actually knit yk?

No. Except if I'm casting on two stitches in a row, like at the top of a sleeve, but if I'm doing that then I tend to measure rather than count.

I usually use a long-tailed cast on, which makes a knit row. So yes, I do.

I do a long tail cast on, which is a knitted cast on. So like a PP, I do count that as a row.
