Since I went off BC in November, my cycles have been shorter than I remember them being (21 to 23 days when they used to be 28) but otherwise have seemed pretty regular, so I'm crossing my fingers.

mariacm - My birthday is on Valentine's Day, too! I hope we both get some birthday luck this month.
Welcome! I added ya.

I am really wanting to O at a normal time this month... if it is CD 14 it would be valentines day... I am so frustrated that my body is still deciding what is normal and what is not normal. That and my doctor still hasn't told me what the results of my blood tests are either... I am just so anxious and desperate to TTC... I really want to O.

CONGRATS BRIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :
oh... and that's how I'm going tell DS!!! He wants a baby more than me, I think...
Of course - I'll have to make sure it's a BFP already before I do another test for him....

Lauren: I'm still rooting for you... :

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been so very MIA . I am not the best at keeping up with these threads. I read along, but having my 3 year old son around, it is hard to post...I find I need my head clear, and it's usually not, when he is running around.

Anyway...hi

Brin...CONGRATULATIONS!!! ::::::
Enjoy this joyous sweet time.

Lauren, I am rooting for you, too. I hope you get a clear o this cycle. It seems like you definitely did last cycle, so I am hopeful that your body is back to regulating itself.

fazer, , I am so so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine. I, too, hope you can find healing, as you grieve the loss of your daughter, in the midsts of your next TTC journey.

So...I thought that I maybe had ovulated two weeks ago (I don't temp), but then this week, I seemed to be ovulating, and it seemed stronger than 2 weeks ago--was very very horny (which I usually am, and wasn't two weeks ago), with some ewcm, and the good ole hso cervix. We had our fun, so I hope we caught an egg! As before, feel pretty clueless and vague, so who knows.

Question for you ladies, though: is it possible for the semen to "mask" the ewcm? In other words, it would just seem that you are very wet with the leftover semen, and it overwhelms or hides the ewcm? I ask, because before, I was aware of several days of ewcm, at least two big ones, and now, I detected it one day, but the rest of the time, I was just aware of being very wet (from semen)...
Any thoughts?

As for me and testing, I am planning/trying to just forget about it as much as possible and then if my period hasn't come two weeks from now, will test.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement. I hope all of you ladies get your BFP very soon! :
THAT'S FANTASTIC!!!! CONGRATS!!! Good luck--I hope you have a happy, safe and healthy pregnancy/new baby!

My thoughts: Some months, I literally have GLOBS of EWCM, some months, not so noticable like I gotta reach way up to my cervix and pull some down to examine it. I think the ups and downs of quantity depend on so many things (hydration, diet, exercise, etc.). But I never check for CM for atleast 12 hours after BDing because 1) it is difficult to distinguish CM from semen, but more importantly 2) I don't want "disturb" things, kwim? It's easiest to check before BDing so you won't be confused. And not too much- pick a time (i like evenings) and stick to it. HTH

Thank you all so much! Since we aren't telling most people IRL for a couple of months, it's so great to be able to all of you. I hope you don't kick me out now, because I want to be around when you all get your BFP!!! I'm passing on all the extra baby dust I have left and I will keep you all in my prayers.

CD15 for me... crampy, bloated... ewcm, but no +opk... hungry, but don't feel like eating anything... and I used my last one this afternoon... ah well...
still : ............. and DH has gone out!!! :S

How's everyone else doing? Any plans for the weekend? Me= science experiments with DS (he's into volcanoes at the moment, so we'll be going to get some big bottles of soda... we did it once already, but cans don't work as well ) and bug catching... and I'm thinking I might see if there's a kid-friendly movie playing... we can get VIP seats for about $10 (La-z-boy style seat, drinks, snacks... what more would you want? ).... if all else fails - picnic in the park!!

Cloudbutterfly, and an almost-happy birthday to you!! Do you like having your birthday on valentines day? I've always wished it were any other day! Having to share it with a holiday complicates it! When I was single, it sucked to be single that day since it was also my birthday. And it's always more expensive to travel/eat out and harder to get the res just because of the holiday. Ugh!

musicoholic - I would like to do some volcanoes this weekend that sounds like a lot more fun then what i have planned, which is nothing. Maybe we could have an indoor picnic.

minsca: why not? picnic under the table...
I have a heap of ideas from a book I borrowed from school... I'll type some up (which I was going to do anyway...) and upload it if you like?

Thanks for the welcome!

Mariacm - I've actually always loved my birthday--except of course the few times I was single/far away from an SO on it! Also, when I was a teenager I hated anything with pink and/or hearts on it, because all my childhood everything was pink and red and hearts. But my reasoning for liking it is this: every year in school, we had a party on my birthday in class. That and no one ever forgets when it is. But it definitely is harder to get reservations, etc., which is annoying.

It's funny...I have this discussion every time I meet someone with my birthday, or someone who knows someone with it. I was just talking to a girl working in a gift shop about her friend (she hated having the birthday...it's always one or the other!).

Congrats Brin!!! :

Here I am now in Waiting to Know. O'd Tuesday. We DTD Monday morning, then Tuesday morning, then Tuesday night, and I'm pretty sure I O'd Tuesday late afternoon/early evening--very strong cramping for a short period of time, and no other O pain at all. So, keeping my fingers crossed that this is our month!

Please move to me to waiting to O :

Well, AF showed up today. I knew she was going to - my temps dropped about FOUR days ago (which can't say anything good for my luteal phase..).

So, I guess I'm back to waiting to be ready.

I think I've come to the conclusion that I just can't (emotionally) prevent a pregnancy at this point. But ironically, the thing that seems most likely to get me pregnant would be going back on the pill for a month or two.... I also have to talk to DH about it. It seemed the obvious choice to stop trying, but.. now I'm not so sure it matters. Oh well.

Good luck to everyone!!!
