February Dingos - Running for Love!

Come one, come all, come join the Dingoes!

We are a group of women who are united in the desire for forward motion, and we support each other in our quest to find balance and reason in our lives.

There are no requirements for joining the thread besides a desire to move forward. So, if you're just starting the couch to 5k or training for an ultramarathon, you belong here!

We post fast (figure ~1000 posts per month), and it's great when you follow along and encourage others. If you fall behind, it's just like your training schedule: Hop right back in and continue on.

Below, I'll post a list of pregnant dingoes, our race list, and the links to the question: Why are we called the dingoes?

So, post your intro and your goals, and we'll welcome you and cheer you on!

Edit: Spelling in title changed to reflect group consensus, though not necessarily English-language norms.

Edit II: We are the dingo pack: a bunch of badass women jet-setting around the country, b!tch-slapping, giving props, and holding babies.

I went for a long walk in a blizzard yesterday - it was beautiful and quite the workout!!! When I got home the kids and I played in the snow. Playing tag with snow to my mid thigh gave me enough exercise for one day

Today I have done 50 push ups and 10 crunches. My tail bone is still pretty sore so I can't do much there yet.

Nice title, drjen! I was waiting to see if someone would go with, what was it, eating groundhogs??

Crud. I was all ready to say I'm starting Feb. with no exercise for today then I just remembered that darn push-up challenge. Ugh. Off to push up!

Thanks for the new thread, Jen! Great title, and great descriptions !

I wanted to ride the trainer tonight, but for some reason I've been totally sidelined by stomach pain all day. My gut is in a swollen, distended knot and I've got gas that could kill small animals ::. So I'm calling today a wash and running tomorrow morning at the YMCA.

I just made bagels, they're pretty good, wickedly easy and I can cross that off of my to do list for life. Although now I have to go back and try to figure out how to make them chewier. they were good, but not great. A new mission begins...

I need fm, haven't run in over a week. I'm thinking of picking a Couch to 5K week that I know I can do and starting there. I need a race, I just need a goal! I have been working out at least but I miss running!

Shiny new thread!

Rr... I did 4.2 m today outside - it turns out that the trail near my house has a split and I'd always taken the dead-end but there's a longer path, too. (The wonder of actually looking at the map! ) So I got to do a good new run with hills today, which was fun.

I'm now officially training for my half in April!

hi there, just subbing....if I can get away with it I'll check tomorrow during a terribly boring meeting I have all day tomorrow. I thought it was Tuesday but then I got a call about it....nooooo, i had screwed it up and it's Monday! Plus this weird guy had "homework" for me for tomorrow. I did it but I was mad about it; who calls during the Superbowl with stuff to do for the next day? : he is weird though. we had a nice little get together, I ate way too much as usual, and I will run 5 with RP tomorrow morning. take care mamas.

in. I am loving Eat to Live, and I'm only 1/3 through the 1st book.

I have to decide in a few weeks if I will run a 5 or 10K in March. I originaly wanted this race to be my 1st 10K w/o stopping in years. But the thought of doing 4 miles (which is the next LR on my training plan), has me so unmotivated. anyway, I'll see how I run this week and next, and then I will decide before I mail my application. Actually, can someone add me to the race list 3/14/09 jog for a cause . Any atl gals wanna join me ??? :

Actually, the title was me, but the intro is 100% ripped off of Geofizz's thread from last month!

Give me strength, mamas. It's almost the end of the SuperBowl and I'm waiting for dh to finish on the treadmill so I can get on. Not really in the mood, but need to get back in the habit of running, even when not in the mood.

Feel (smell) better soon JayGee. It must be those two beers that turned you into luggage not sitting so well 24 hours later.

subbing in for the month...

Alice is scheduled to finally start school tomorrow. They have a 2 hour weather delay and I have very chilly feet. : I am giving it two weeks and then we will talk (unless it is horrific before then). Ugh. I am dreading this. On the other had I hope she has a great experience and it is the start of a good chapter for us both; I am not trying to send her into an awful situation for a bad experience. Do I sound confused enough? : I am trying to be positive around her. This has been dragging on for so long with school being out all last week for weather.
