A Little Too Comfortable

Yesterday, I was carrying my 3 week old son in my Moby while doing a few errands. After I finished at one place, I went to get into my car. I was so comfortable carrying him that I was seated in my car before I realized that I needed to put him in his car seat.

Well it's certainly a good thing that you noticed Glad to hear you're liking the moby. I didn't babywear when my dd was that small, but I imagine a moby would be awfully snuggly with a newborn

Aw, that's awesome that it's so comfortable for you!

Ha! I could totally see myself doing that with a wee little one.

such a cute story!

Mine is not as cute. I left my Moby Wrap on when I went to pick up my dd#1 from kindergarten (baby was at home napping with daddy).
i didn't notice until I got home.
worst was...i only had a nursing bra on under the wrap!

: Oh, wow! That would be a horrible experience. I walk around with my shirt up and nursing bra partly open sometimes, forgetting to adjust my clothing after a feeding. There have been a few times when I had to consciously adjust my clothing before answering the door or leaving the house. I am so worried that I am going to go somewhere with my boob hanging out.

This happened to me a few times when DD was tiny.

Ha -- glad you realized in time!

I used to sit in the front seat while I got DD out of the Moby so that I wouldn't worry about dropping her while dealing with all that fabric, and I got a few strange looks from people who must have thought that I was just going to get in my car and drive away with her in the wrap.

Forgetting

This has been happening to me since I started wearing DS on my back. I forget he's there and have a panic moment when I realize that I haven't seen the baby in an hour.

I've done that! got in the car with my dd in the pouch, she might have been a month old. started it up and everything and my son goes 'mommy what about Kate' LOL

and when she first started riding on my back i'd 'forget' about her, and she'd end up asleep for HOURs and i couldn't sit down untll I took her off.
