Losing my temper

Hi there. Does anyone have a trick for not losing your temper with your precious LOs? DS is 3.5 and a fantastic kid in every way...but sometimes, like every parent (right??), I grit my teeth and count to ten--especially in the mornings when we're pressed for time and trying to get out of the house punctually.

How do you keep your cool? Do you have a little song or funny word (like my 1st grade teacher when she was fed up with us)?

Thanks!

If I get down on the kids level it helps me a lot. When I am standing up and trying to 'get something done' I have the tendency to holler and get frustrated. When I make sure I am within conversation distance (not across the room) and get down on my knees it's easier to see things from their perspective.
