my dd wakes me up and half the time there is NO going back to sleep for me. I am just wide awake. Anyone else going through this?

Thankfully, I think I was military in a former life or something. I can sleep anywhere, at any time.

I know it is not intended for this purpose, but HypnoBabies CD #2 puts me right out. Could you use something like that?

OHMYGOSH, yes. : I hate it. I've been waking up around 4:30-5:00, on average, almost every day for the last few weeks (and I'm NOT a morning person). By the time I get tired enough to go back to bed and get back to sleep, it's time to get my oldest two kids up and off to school. Luckily enough, though, my toddler will usually cooperate and take a nap when I'm nearly falling over dead by late morning, so we nap together most days for an hour and a half or so.

Today my husband is home from work not feeling well, so I hope to be extra lazy. Hey, two adults operating at roughly 50% capacity equals at least one person, right? Or something like that.

Another sleepy mama here. Not only do I have a hard time falling back asleep after I go to the bathroom or get up with the kids, but I am having crazy dreams. So even when I do sleep, I don't feel rested. I am super emotional too- so I"ll be up in the middle of the night just crying my eyes out from my crazy dreams. It is getting so old!

I know exactly what you mean, birthworks. I have a hard time falling asleep or I wake up to use the washroom in the early morning (anywhere between 3 and 5:30 am). Then, I can't go back to sleep. It's exhausting. I have a toddler so I have to make sure he's fed and ok. Sometimes, I end up falling asleep while he's watching tv next to me, if I get lucky that is! But, that doesn't feel like real sleep!!

I know what you mean...you're not the only one awake! I get up 2-3 times to pee and then lately once because I'm hungry--needing a bowl of cereal. Which keeps me awake until it's really too late to go back to sleep. Soon we'll have a good reason to be up all night. I can't wait!

And here I thought it was just me! It's almost as regular as clockwork that I'll wake up between 4am and 4:30am. Usually I can't fall back asleep so it's up and at 'em for me.

I'm right there with the rest of you. I wake up to pee about every two hours and by about 4:30 or 5 there's no getting back to sleep. It's very frustrating. I am so not a morning person either. I think getting frustrated just makes it worse though. I'll usually doze off again after DH gets up around 7, but my alarm goes off at 8 so it doesn't do me much good.
