Hello! My name is Claudia and I'm the very proud mother of 4 absolutely gorgeous girls. I've been married to the absolute love of my life since 1999. I was 39 and he was 46 when we married, and we were sure we wouldn't have children.
17 months after we got married, on August 23, 2000, our first daughter, Mary Margaret (named after my mother) was born in an unassisted home birth. She weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was perfectly happy and healthy. I was 40 at the time of her birth.
After Mary was born, we decided that actively trying for more children would be irresponsible. In December 2005, however, I discovered I was pregnant again. Esther Juliana (named after his father) was born June 21, 2006 in our 2nd unassisted home birth. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was also perfectly happy and healthy. I was almost 46 at the time of her birth.
we were surprised once again in the summer of 2008, when I went to the doctor thinking I was in menopause and he discovered that I was 4 months pregnant. However, there wasn't just one baby--there were two! Our New Years girls, Charlotte Adele and Juniper Veronica (named after aunts and saints) were born this January 1, 6 lbs 9 oz and 6 lbs 11 oz, in our 3rd and final unassisted home birth.
In addition to giving birth
I'm also a full-time homeschooling mama, and breastfeeding Esther, Lottie, and Junie.
