Second-hand finds

Hi,
I'm a newbie at both forums and technology so please bear with me!
I am a British mum to two children, an almost seven-year-old son and an eight-month-old daughter. My husband and I believed we weren't able to have children after our son, hence the large gap, so we were very pleasantly surprised when our daughter arrived. But because we were so surprised we didn't have time to get all the baby things that we wanted. We dug out all our son's old baby clothes (the poor thing is constantly being told what a pretty little boy she is) and I already had a huge shawl that I use to carry her using the Welsh sling technique. Breastfeeding further saved money and the only actual cost was for a carseat and a huge bolt of towelling fabric to make nappies.
Anyway, now that the shock has subsided my husband and I looking forward to our next baby but this time we want to do things properly albeit inexpensively.
As such I am trying to find a second-hand Amauti. I have seen several on the internet but those that do ship to the UK are far too expensive for me to consider. Would anyone be able to point me in teh right direction where I could either find an inexpensive new or second-hand Amauti.
Many thanks and hello to everyone

check out www.thebabywearer.com - they have a FSOT forum (for sale or trade) where people post items they are selling. they also have an ISO forum (in search of) where you can post what you're looking for, in case someone has one they've been thinking of selling but have not gotten around to posting about it. that's going to be your best bet.

you might also want to consider a babywearing coat like Suse's Kindercoat, or a babywearing poncho, or a babywearing vest (or a combination of the above), depending on the weather where you are. i have seen lots of Canadian mamas who were happy with their Kindercoats, and they are a lot cheaper and easier to find (new or used) than an amauti.

http://www.suseskinder.com/apps/webstore/ - loads of discounted kindercoats here! make sure you read the descriptions, some are incomplete, which may or may not bother you, but just be sure you know what you're buying if you get one
