Well, we got ours, the full amount that I was supposed to get, so I don't understand why they told me I had done it wrong and was getting less. Needless to say, we are putting away the money they said we weren't going to get so when they send us a letter saying we owe them, we will be prepared to pay them back. Thank goodness we FINALLY got our refund!

We got our state, but still no federal.

the irs site says it's been released, but it's not in our bank so hopefully it is one of those things where it takes a few days to show?

Attila - One of my friends had hers held up until the Tuesday after it was released by her bank just because, so its probably in the banks hands waiting to be deposited.

What's weird here is I filed either late 1/31 or early 2/1 and I got mine back already, but others filed in early January and haven't...Doesn't make sense to me

Ours was direct deposited on a Tuesday morning.


So they are not only depositing on Friday's.

I have a feeling that maybe more people are filing early this year than in past years as well as the whole stimulus check "issues" that we are hearing about might be slowing things down a bit. In past years, I've got my refund in that alloted 8-15 days, but this year is does seem to be on a different and slower time table.

Previously the IRS said the 24th, but apparently my bank processes faster, so it in fact went in on the 20th. So Federal on the 20th and state on the 19th.

For those of us waiting any updates? The IRS site says the same for me, no date anymore just that it is delayed and then a code. I last talked to the IRS a week ago who said to wait a week and then call again.

I finally got a reason why! I called the IRS a few times and they always say there is no information. So just now i finally get a man that answers all my questions! I wonder why some operators say there is nothing and then poof! someone knows all the answers. I literally called person after person until i get an answer. So because i filed head of household this year but married filing jointly this year i have to send the IRS proof of custody of the kids before they release the return to me. My problem is that i have sole custody but there is nothing about filing taxes in our agreement because we are still trapped in divorce proceedings even though custody is seperate. I get no child support and i have sole custody so hopefully that is enough for the IRS. I wonder how much longer i will have to wait now. I know i have to wait for some letter, send them the documentation, and then wait for approval. This sucks because my family really needed this money.

i filed 1/15 and recieved my refund as expected on 1/29.
