Ordering parts online

Thread Starter
My local sewing machine repair shop does not stock parts for sale and I need to get a bunch. Does anyone order replacement parts (or even accessories) online? I could use a few recommendations...either for or against certain dealers. Thanks for your help!

If it matters, the parts are for Necchi, Singer and a generic Japanese vintage machine.

I would suggest checking out treadleon... http://www.treadleon.net/ it's a collectors group (of people actually using the machines to sew with) of treadle and handcrank sewing machines, a list serve type group. It is geared toward the people powered machines not electric ones but folk's intrestes there are all over the place, although the board tries to stay on topic about only people powered. Hang out a while and you will get to know a small part of the online sewing machine poeple. Depending on what machines you have and what you are looking for, someone may have what you are looking for, they may even live in your same town Like I said, it's a collectors group, not really a buy/sell group, but a wealth of information about the older machines.
