What I got in the mail today

During my pregnancy I must have signed up for some kind of mailing list because every few months I receive coupons from a certain formula company. . I usually glance over it because the enclosed cards always contain some gems of wisdom. <sarcasm>. Today's said:

From active Mom to action hero.
You may notice that during your baby's first immunization you want to wrestle the doctor to the floor for making her cry. Okay, don't panic. It's a perfectly normal feeling...just don't act on it.

Aaargh!: This really rubbed me the wrong way. I could go on and on about the reasons why.

I need to figure out how to get off this mailing list. <sigh>

I think if you ever entered any contests or filled out anything baby related the copmpany sells your name and address to tons of other companies/places. I get all that formula stuff too and last week I got a card telling me to get myself immunized for pertussis to protect my baby and also to remember to get my baby vaccinated for pertussis too. Ugh....I just threw it out. It rubbed me the wrong way too!

I think it's because of Motherhood MAternity. I was such an idiot back then to sign on with them - I was promised coupons, and thought hey yeah. Never got one real coupon - only coupons for formula (I thought I'd receive MM coupons!!!).
I just throw it out.... Arggh.
They also send me some questionnaire about what formula we use. I took part as it had the option "my baby is breastfed and never had formula". It also had an empty line for thoughts. I said I would never give my baby formula and will breastfeed for as long as DS wants. I just wanted to debunk their little "study" a bit :P

Yep, I got the same one a couple of weeks back. Also, when I went to a new doc they gave me this huge bag full of stuff...including a pacifier, disposable diaper sample (plus coupons! ), and formula stuff. Plus all the information about which vaxes to get and when and all the "good things" they do.

I chunked most of it.
