Of course now that it's been released I've been checking out reviews online. I've heard nothing but bad things about it. Apparently there are a lot of glitches. Lots of complaints about playability as well. I guess the new system isn't as user friendly as it should have been.

Like a pp said earlier, one of the big complaints is that your families can up and move it out without any input from you.

It's too bad because I think the personality traits aspect and the neighbourhoods being in your main screen (no loading) is a big improvement over the older games.
All of this makes me glad I don't have the money to buy it right now. Better to wait until someone has something good to say about it's operation.

For those that dislike some of the bugs in the game there is a great mod that fixes a lot of stuff: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/sm...&topic=15185.0 The awsomemod fixes the "turn off story progression" setting in the options, so that it actually works, and your families don't get new jobs/divorced/etc. when you are playing a different family. It also fixes some bugs where your family would "move out" and pretty much disappere when you were playing another family.

I actually played the game for a good long while. Usually I get bored playing, and then spend all of my time building houses and making families that I never play. These things are harder to do in this version, so I've been playing longer. I even have a real legacy game going, with no cheats. They have their first baby. I have never played without cheats for more than five seconds.

I like the game a lot. It's pretty and being able to easily do things in town is nice. I can't wait for the custom content to come out though, my interior designer side is really missing the possibilities.

You don't need an internet connection for the game. Only to register it, and if you want to download stuff from their "store" or upload your sims to the exchange.

My sim went into labor with baby #2 during baby #1's first birthday party. Totally ruined her birthday. BTW, its totally hard to raise 2 babies at once in the game. My first one failed to age because of the ruined birthday party so I had 2 babies for awhile.

I've been playing like crazy since it came out. My self sim birthed a boy, then two sets of boy twins and then finally a girl The first set of twins were still babies when the second set came. Fun times

It's taking some getting used to for me, but I like it so far. I think the whole community lot would be even better if you could actually see inside the various stores, etc. I remember that you could do that with one of the Sims 2 add ons so I'm not sure why they changed it here.

I noticed they had added a hospital in the community so I wondered what the birth would be like with one of my pregnant sims but they give the option of being safe and comfortable at home too. So my sim had a UC with surprise twins and no one else in the house except for the maid arriving during twin #2's birth.

Mine didn't get eh home birth option. Dad panic'd and took her to the hospital. Then they left the mini-van there! It glitched and I didn't get it back. I was so pissed, they took a cab home. lol

I'm guessing it has to do with whether or not the dad is home. I think the message comes up something like, "Your sim is in labor, make sure they are safe and comfortable at home or in the hospital." My first pregnant sim was home alone so she just stayed there and had the babies like on Sims 2. Though I played with another sim who went into labor and the dad took her to the hospital too. Then they took a cab home that the mom drove and I can't remember noticing whether or not their car made it back to their lot. Weird!

I got Sims 3 for my Razr, and it pretty much sucks. Stripping it down to fit in a Razr took too much out of the game.

We don't usually buy computer games -- not enough graphics/memory/etc. Anyone know when it comes out on the game consoles?

So.... Two days ago my husband surprised me with the new Sims 3. Isn't he sweet. He remembered I had wanted it and bought it for me as soon as we had a little money leftover for something, and he spent it on me.

So, last night I spent some time playing it, trying to figure it all out again. I used a lot of cheats when I played the Sims 2 so it was an adjustment figuring out how to play without cheating.

It also took me a while to figure out that I needed to click on 'edit town' to switch the character I was playing. That's a tad frustrating.

I've just played three single characters that were premade and already in a home. One was a guy, last name of Steel, another was a man who lives in a beach house and the third was a woman who works at a hospital.

I'm almost afraid to play a multiple sim household for fear of ruining them.

I downloaded some custom hair, objects and two lots with the EA Download manager from the Sims 3 site, but I cannot find them in game. I wonder if I missed some important step.

So how is everyone else enjoying the game?
