"Shedding?" what is this and should we be cautious?

DS is heading toward 19 months and we were thinking about preschool. But now I've read about shedding and it has me reconsidering. We don't vax and I don't know what to do around vaxed kids. It has been suggested certain vaccines can put you at risk?

So how do I deal with this in real life? I can't possibly keep asking all of DS's parents what schedule they're on...and then what, pull DS out of school? Or can I?

What you other moms do? Is this a valid worry?

And should we skip preschool altogether becasue of this?

I think it can happen, but statistically, it's probably not very common.

The likelihood of the child getting something from shedding in a preschool setting from vaccines. I think it's much more likely that the child will get some other disease floating around (vpd or not).

the two illnesses where shedding seems to cause problems are rotavirus and chickenpox...

the flu vaccine that goes up your nose...the situation is unclear

We had that problem with the rotavirus when my daughter got that vaccine Deborah. And at the time, I didnt realize the truth about that vaccine. I was heavily looking into the MMR at that time, that was when I first started looking at information unbiasedly. prior to that, my stance was very different, and I would have said the same things you see floating around this board that are "pro vax"
