Yay all the tests came back negative!

My dughter was born with a very deep sacral dimple, with hair growing out of it. They were worried about possible neuro-tube issues namely spinabifida. we got the ultrasound results back yesterday and all is well!!!! YAY no spinabifida. And all of her neuro checks have come back perfect as well.

Glad everything is OK! They're actually relatively common, though if they are deep, have hair or hemangioma surrounding it they usually want them checked out just in case.

3/4 of our kids have them...so for whatever reason our kids just 'grew' that way...though they're not that deep.

Glad she's ok. My DD had hair growing out of hers and nobody said anything about it. But we homebirthed and didn't see a ped. so probably nobody knew any better. Anyhow, she's perfectly normal.

: congratulations... those tests are sooo nerve wracking. We had to wait 3 weeks to retest our daughter's hearing after she failed the newborn screening. Fortunately she passed, but I almost puked sitting around waiting for the results.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes...It's so funny how with each pregnancy you have anxiety. My anxiety for Caroline was that she was mentally retarded. My anxiety for my 1st Neil was that I was going to drop him and kill him.

totally irrational but those were my fears....

Neil has a sacral dimple and so do I....they just weren't deep they were just indentations....
