Praying for Labor

I'm facing induction next week due to GD...

Yesterday I had my midwife strip my membranes which made me bleed a little but then this morning I lost my mucus plug. Still only having a contraction here and there. I so hope she makes an appearance this weekend! I'm GBS negative ( so if I can avoid pitocin I won't need an IV at all!

What else can I do? I'm taking EPO (orally) and RRL for several weeks. I can't have sex - too tender down there, like swollen or something. I'm trying to relax because I'm SO EXCITED to meet my baby after 9 years of waiting!!!

How about nipple stimulation? Sounds like some progress is being made! Sending good labor vibes :

How about vaginal EPO? I know what you mean about the swelling--must be hormones.

Nipple Stimulation/Pumping should do the trick.

5 minutes on one side, wait 15 minutes, 5 minutes on the other side. Repeat once an hour. If contractions become too strong, long, or close together STOP.

Good luck, I hope this is it for you! :

I was just going to say that if you are having sporatic contractions, nipple stimulation sounds perfect. That is how I did with my daughter. You have to really go at it though...lol.

You can try the acupressure points as well-- maybe in between nipple stims. One is on the hand, between the thumb and forefinger, and one is above the ankle. You'll want to google exactly where they are. Good luck!

Go to your local health food store and get a homeopathic remedy called caulophyllum. The recommended dose to kickstart labor is 200c but even the lowest (6c) can help if your body's already getting ready.

Check this thread for info (I just posted a link to a video about the acupressure points):

Good luck!

Yep, I second the caulophyllum, and you can try dissolving the tablets in water, drinking it half way or so, and then keep refilling your water glass when you get halfway done or 3/4 done. That'll dilute it more. Homeopathics are stronger the more diluted they are.
And start the EPO vaginally. And squat around the house, all day long!
I'm sending you good labor inducing vibes....
