Trader Joe's Frozen Fish

While of course I'd prefer to buy locally, I'm having to watch our budget. I would like us to consume more salmon and I noticed TJ's has a decent price on wild salmon (frozen and vacuum sealed). Any downside to this?

Also, any thoughts on how to prepare it? We aren't big fish people so the yummier the better.

Recently, I've been cutting it up into cubes and panfrying in lard (butter would be better) with paprika and basil, salt and pepper and then adding boiled peas and roasted spaghetti squash when it was in season and frying it a bit longer to get the flavors mixed. When we were eating grains I did quinoa instead of the squash and it was delish. Otherwise, you can brush some oil on in and squeeze half a lemon on top and add salt, pepper and dill/basil/whatever, roast it at 375 for 10-20 minutes. That's always a hit here too. I find the key is to not overcook it and to make sure you season it well.

I like to do like the PP too. Not necessarily with salmon always though. My kids like fish but it has to be in smaller pieces and then fried all around. I posted this on another thread too but I really like to make patties with cooked or canned flaked fish. I'm not a huge salmon fan anymore either but I like them spiced up and liek a burger
