Showing already?

I have a short torso, and I looked 4 months preggers with DD when I was like 2 last time. Same thing is happening again. I don't think that I can keep a secret for very long due to my already protruding stomach. FWIW I get big fast and then just steadily grow. I can't hide this from our family much longer. Ugh. I am not one of those women who can hide it for months I can't even hide it for a few weeks.: Already half my clothes feel so tight, it's driving me bonkers. Alright I vented, I feel better now.

Lol, I know what you are going through. I am a very thin person and you would think I could hide it pretty well but not a chance. With my last pregnancy I was about 8 weeks and easily passed for 4 or even 5. I had to start wearing maternity clothes by 8 weeks. I think I have my eight weeks pic still......let me see so I can post it.

You would think that since I was so big then I would have been monsterous by the end but I was just the size of a normal pregnant woman. It seems like I always spout really fast but then stay the same in the second trimester and start going again in the last part of my pregnancy. It is always like that for me.

I started at a size 3 with this one and already my size 5 jeans are getting pretty tight on me. DH didn't understand why I pulled out the maternity clothes as soon as I found out I was pregnant but here I am barley 5 weeks and every single day he tells me "You are showing more". (He wasn't here for the last pregnancy because he was overseas so he doesn't really know what to expect.)

I don't mind though. I love showing. I love maternity clothes, and I love being pregnant. It's all so fun to me.

Oh I really could care less about showing, it's the trying to keep it from our family that is going to be nearly impossible. I also love being pg and having my belly all full and round. We're just going to have to tell people soon, which is fine...I hate having to keep a secret.

nah, my baby is teeny tiny, i'm only in week 5, and not displacing anything!

I started showing pretty early with my daughter and they say it happens even earlier with #2 and beyond, so... Like I said, my belly button is already sticking out a bit. I think I'm mostly just bloated right now, but I am bigger. I'll have to see if I have my old pictures anywhere. I remember at 20 weeks my MIL saying I looked just as big as her co-worker who was due any day.

I can relate. I show early and I get HUGE. I am very small, 5' 1" and about 115 lbs, so there is no place for a baby to go but out. I think I started showing with the last one by 3 1/2 months. I'd like to not have my employer find out until I am closer to 4 or 5 moths, so I might have to invest in some baggier clothes . I don't mind that I show so quickly, but I get so big, and get really frustrated with everyone's comments: "Wow, are you having twins!?!?" or "You must be due any day now " (when I'm 5 months along). Oh well. It's a small price to pay. I also HATE maternity clothes. I always feel so creepy in them and the last time I was PG (almost 6 years ago), they were awful looking things. I hope they have gotten better, but I honestly haven't looked since the last time. I'll stay out of them as long as I can. I really love having a baby belly though (now I'm going to cry again!).

Oh yeah I got the "it must be twins" from another woman who was 3 months farther along than me last time, what makes me laugh about that is I probably out weigh her by at least 50 lbs. Her kids re all teeny tiny and my DD is 2.5 and looks more like a 4 y/o, Dh and I are not tiny people, so I am not surprised.

Brin-there are way cute maternity clothes out there at Motherhood and Old Navy. I will be using some from DD, but I need some new tank tops and maybe a couple long sleeved shirts since the babes due early Oct and in WA it will be getting chilly. I also have to get more stretchy gaucho pants I just wear them all the time anyway, they are comfy before and after.

Last time my m/w felt my fundus at 6 weeks...seriously. It was crazy how fast I showed. By 11 weeks it was halfway to my bellybutton. This time I'm already starting to notice a little pudge. Nothing major yet, but soon I imagine. I'm tall (5'8") but I have a REALLY short torso.

I can feel my fundus now. With my last it was 1/2 way to my belly at 10 wks. This is my 5th and I get huge so I'm guessing that's why.

silly question: what is a fundus?

afm: when ttc i had a little bit of a stomach, so i could have passed as pg., i haven't noticed any changes yet.

i'm not showing yet (other than bloat) but i'm kinda one of those weird people who hopes i show early. i'm actually looking forward to doing the bikini thing & showing off the belly when i go to the beach this summer. *shrugs* i'm kinda nerdy about it ... i'm just really proud of what my body is doing

Fundus is the top of the uterus.

I am thankfully not showing already. With dd I didn't start showing until at least 5 months. I'm hoping the same for this time because we're going to try not telling anyone until 20 wks.

Well, I am 'showing' I guess you could say...but it is a lot of bloat I am sure! I am sure that things are displacing already though too, because I have a lot of hip pain...which is always how I can tell things are shifting. i don't mind showing, I just hate it when people are like, 'oh your pg! when are you due?' Expecting me to be further along than I am, lol
