wetting cloth wipes

What method do you prefer?

I was going to use a squirt bottle, but haven't been able to find one. I searched all around Target and Walmart and only came up with a spray bottle and a sport top bottle that doesn't squeeze.

I just use water from the faucet. (we change diapers in the bathroom)

We wet them in the sink. If I'm going out I sometimes put a few wet ones in a plastic bag.

We also use just water. Since DS was 8 months we have tried to potty for at least the BM so the wipes are in the bathroom. When I know we "missed" I grab a wipe on the way to the changing table or clean him up enough to try the potty We also have "honey Chunks" in a home depot spray bottle (mostly for me). I like that the spray bottle was large and I didn't have to refill it all the time.

I use water from the sink too, since DS isn't rolling yet. However, I'll have to find a new method soon. I read a thread here a while back in which someone suggested one of those thermoses that dispense the liquid when you push down on the top - like the coffee thermoses in coffee shops. I think that's a brilliant idea! DS won't like it if all the sudden his wipes turn cold

Water, huh? I was going to use the baby wash+oil+water mix recipe, but if water works, cool.

I haven't figured out where to do changes yet. We have a pack n play with a changing table set up in our bedroom, and there's a bed in the nursery that I was thinking I could put a changing pad down on. I was going to set up a basket in those places with diapers, wipes and solution, but maybe it would work to keep the wipes in the bathrooms and stop by the sink on the way there.

We just use water too. When we're home we get it straight from the faucet. When we're out if we don't have access to a sink then I will get water out of the water bottle.

no fuss, no muss ---- it was mostly water here.
I used a squirt or peri bottle. sometimes a drop of baby soap in it. dollar store carries misting water bottles like those for plants.

We keep our in a wipes warmer with solution right now, refilled every day. It's really bothering me that we have to have an electrical appliance for the wipes though, kwim? I'm thinking of going the squirty thermos route if I can find one.

We just use water or I will make a few to last the day with a drop of baby wash.

I put a tupper ware of water and a squirt of aloe on the changing table. I either dump a few wipes in it in the morning and use them through the day or just dunk htem in.

I just wet them in the sink. I keep meaning to get a spray bottle but this works fine.

I use a peri bottle filled with water. I keep one on the changing table and 1 in the diaper bag.

i have a wipes solution that i make using apricot oil, water, dr. bronners baby mild and 2 drops of tea tree oil. i make it up in bulk and keep it in a big bottle from which i fill little 2 oz spray bottles that i got in the travel section at wal-mart. one for the diaper bag and one for home. i can spray it right on the wipe or baby, depending on the mess... i have done it this way for nearly 2 years, and i love it.

I wet down about how many I will need for the day and keep them in a wipe container.

I also just use water from the faucet. I have some disp wipes that I bought before LO was born and I decided to use all cloth, I use those when we are out. I thought about doing squirt bottle or something, after a few days got tired of refilling the bottle every or every other day.

I'm just getting ready to switch to cloth wipes and I thought my peri bottle would work well.

I have a Q also. For those of you who don't get it right from the faucet, how do you keep the water warm, or do you? If it's left at room temp (changed daily of course) it can't be any worse than a sposie wipe, right?

That's what I do too - works great. I don't have one for the diaper bag yet, but will soon...

We use a wipe warmer too, refill it prob every 2 days...I make a solution of water, dr bronners, lavender oil, tea tree oil and apricot kernel oil...seems to work really well and we haven't had any diaper rash since I started this mix...for the diaper bag I keep the same mix in a little spray bottle

This is how we did it with ds2. This is how I was planning on doing it with this baby.
