supplements?

I was wondering if any of you were taking anything yet? Ater 8 losses, I'm using progest. I used it with my 2 babies. We've been so poor lately, so I had stopped taking most of my good stuff, but I'm back on a b complex, cal/mag/d, folic acid, probiotics, and flax seed oil. I'm also weaning off of cymbalta, which I'm doing ok so far. I'm oddly calm this time around. Feeling very peaceful and not so much panicky, but I still check the tissue each time I pee. I also love the traditional medicinals pregnancy tea, so I"m drinking a cup of that or so a day instead of DIET COKE!

Hi, I'm taking Prenate DHA, which is a basic prenatal with added DHA. I've been wanting to try Pregnancy Tea but last time I was pregnant (I had a loss) my doctor told me no herbal tea. My first appointment is on the 23rd. I'm going to ask again about the teas then. I've heard such wonderful things about red raspberry leaf, I'd really like to give it a try.

I'm taking a whole bunch.

I just got New Chapter Prenatals (yikes, expensive, though I got a nice discount from iherb!)
Lots of vitamin D3 since I had been deficient and dd had tooth issues
B12
Floradix (occasionally)
Folate (I just bought the "metafolin" active form)
DHA from omega-zen (awesome DHA... fish-free) 300mg
Occasional Magnesium and Calcium when I remember
Choline (I read that the march of dimes now even suggests choline, though I couldn't find it on their website)
ground flax/chia seeds baked into muffins or in smoothies

About the red rasberry... I've read some things saying to start it later in pregnancy? I've never used it, but I was thinking of waiting until I was in my 3rd trimester. Anyone else?

Nettle leaf is a great and safe way to get lots of minerals and nourishment in ALL stages of pregnancy. You can usually buy the dried leaf in bulk at a health food store.
To get the most medicine out of it make it into an infusion (a very strong tea) put 1 cup of dried leaf into a quart jar. Pour boiling water over it and let it seep for 4 hours or so. To lessen the "earthy" taste you can sweeten it, add a little milk, or put some peppermint in with the nettle. Drink at least one cup per day (it will last a few days in the fridge.
I used rasperry leaf with my nettle my last trimester, and I feel like the rasberry REALLY helped my uterus prepare for a quick and easy first birth!

It sounds like you are doing great things already too. Good luck!

i take 1.5 flintstones vitamin (it's all i can stomach + has the exact same amount of almost every vitamin as a prenatal) and i'm also eating fortified cereal & calcium enriched (but lactose-free) milk every day, at the least.

i was talking about this on another thread - i eat very, very little because i'm so petite & my metabolism and such, so it's important that i supplement the entire pregnancy, just in case.

I'm taking Cod Liver Oil, spirulina and rotating between red raspberry leaf, nettle, red clover and mullein teas.
