I have a skein of yarn that I like to make a shawl with but I will likely need another 3-4 skeins to finish. Will I every find the same dye lot again? It will matter won´t it? I should probably just find a one skein project. I need your wisdom here ladies, thanks.

You can look on ravelry, ebay, call around to different LYS or where ever you got it in the first place and see if you can find some more. I made a sweater with 2 different dye lots and you can't tell at all sometimes though it is very obvious.....

What kind of yarn is it?

You could also possibly find the same yarn in a different but coordinating color and make the shawl with stripes.

The yarn is Koigu KPPPM the color is P305. I received it in a swap and athough one of my LYS carries it they don´t have this color in stock. I need /want to make a shawl for a charity thing and was just laying around with this since I had it on hand. Of course I stumbled on something I really love and now want for myself. The charity shawl will not be made with Koigu. I should probably just make fingerless gloves out of this and do a fingering weight shawl out of something I can actually get enough of later - says my head (but not my heart).
