I've made lots of progress on the meal planner!

Some of you may remember me asking for suggestions and requests a while back...

Well, here is the free CSA meal planner, nearly there. If any of you want to "make this your own", just sign up for a free account and you can add your own favorite recipes into the mix:

This is a meal planner to help people who get vegetable boxes from local farms (community supported agriculture - CSA boxes), or for those who shop based on what is on sale or in season.

This is terrific. I don't have a csa locally that I can buy from, but I mainly buy bulk and plenty of fresh veggies, so this is a perfect resource for me. Thanks for the link and the hard work put into this.

the only thing I see that is off is where it says to "hit enter" after putting in your produce. I don't have an enter button. Am I missing something?

It means "enter" on your keyboard. It will add it to the list, and then refocus in the entry field again, so you can keep typing your next item.

Thanks for the feedback - if anything is ambiguous or unclear, I want to change the wording.

My ultimate hope for this resource is that it becomes a community-built database of recipes from like-minded folks, which would also enrich MY cooking experiences. I'm just so pleased it's finally starting to come together. :

thanks for this. A few of the veggies we get aren't in the database though.
like bok choy and swiss chard. This is a great resource though I get an organic veggie box biweekly and have been struggling to use up everything in it.

Your support and excitement and thanks mean more to me than I can say!

The database needs TONS of info added, including lots of vegetable categories.

If any of you want to add your own recipes to the database, that would be fabulous. (Just make a free account, go to recipes, and add new.) In the meantime, I'll be working away on the main website, www.EatRealGood.com, as well as adding info to the meal planner database.

how do we let you know when we find a missing veggie?

You could post them here, and I'll go add them. I know there are gaping holes right now. They way I've been doing it up til this point is adding in recipes, and adding the veggies that are in those recipes if they aren't in the planner yet.

But, this could be a good place for people to post specific veggies they want recipes for, or even recipes themselves. (Or you can sign up for a free account and add the recipe directly to the meal planner, then I can go in and add those veggies and approve the recipe.) :

ohhh - you know what? you know how it says "unknown food" right now if you put in something that's not already in the database? maybe just change the text to say something like "no recipe exists yet with this ingredient"... maybe even including the text that they should feel free to add recipes to the database.

Also, the filter didn't work when I tried it just now (unless I'm really out of touch and "pork chops" are a vegetable. )

This is fantastic. There are a few times that I am not quite sure what to do with the items I receive. I cannot wait to give this a try.
