FCLO -- How long to get used to the new taste? And other questions

Wow, I just had my first dose this morning and it was quite a taste experience. It tasted like pine needles plus raw fish scales, not that I've ever eaten either, but what I imagine they'd taste like combined. I recommend NOT shooting it in your mouth with the measuring syringe as it comes shooting out fast and I believe added to the "slight" burn at the back of the mouth (which I can still feel 10+ minutes later). It took me a long time to get used to the regular CLO and the HVBO so I'm sure I'll get used to this but wow, this stuff is intense! I recommend an instant chaser...I didn't have one and regret it still.

Two other questions as well:
(1) What do you guys do about your kids taking it? Dd2, who is 3 y.o., takes the regular CLO straight and loves it. I'm a bit concerned about giving her this stuff straight though. Dd1 drinks it in smoothies so no big deal, but dd2 doesn't care for smoothies.
(2) How do you rinse out the syringe it comes with? Or do I not worry since it's fermented and therefore not likely to go rancid in the syringe before I finish the bottle?

Ugh, it's quite a taste, isn't it? Oy.

I don't use the syringe. I just figured out how much I wanted, syringed it into a spoon, and then just eyed it by pouring that amount into the spoon from then on.

I have tried to disguise it in honey and yogurt for my son, but to no avail. He has some medicine that he has to take that he already doesn't like, so I just combine it with that and he handles it OK. But I don't always do it, just to spare him a bit of yuck! I totally understand a kid not wanting it.

Oh, good idea about eyeballing it. I think I was so blown away by the taste that my brain temporarily shut down about this.

I haven't tried dd with it yet...but she loves the regular stuff. Maybe I'll keep her on that.

Dd1, who hates the taste, is fine with it in a berry smoothie, as all the sweetness disguises it. I've heard molasses works well too but my girls don't like it.

The syringe type thing comes apart. I take mine apart and wash it with my dishes. The GP folks suggest putting it in a glass of milk or in w/oatmeal for kids. I seriously cannot imagine either option would be tasty.

Ah, thanks for the washing tip! And yeah, in my house that would be an excellent way to ensure those foods not being eaten any more, yuck!
