I went to a Dan Zanes concert with dh and ds and it was so good. I am posting this to urge any of you, if you get a chance to go to one, to do so with your little ones. He and Barbara Brousal played and it was so much fun for the kids; they got the kids to sing along and participate in every song they played. All these little kids were singing and dancing, half-mobbing the stage, completely one with the pleasure of it. It was so fun to see. Our ds, who is two and a half, fell asleep 3 songs into it, but we stayed to watch the whole thing. I have almost not seen anything as sweet (aside from my own kid) as the three little girls singing back-up and then two playing mini-banjo and recorder.
Those of you who are not yet Dan Zanes fans you can get the cds. Pricey but they are also little board books, sort of, too. Oh, only $15 at the concerts.
I don't know how much he plays out or travels. Somewhat I think, at least around the northeast. This was in his native Brooklyn.
