Totally, I do agree and would never say "Don't see this film" because it reflected the attitudes of the time - and I actually think that the makers of the film felt pretty progressive, because the housekeeper is outspoken with him in a motherly but bossy kind of way.
But for someone unused to those kinds of portrayals I'm sure it's pretty jarring to see them, and I'm sure a lot of parents may want to wait to open those topics up with their kids, kwim?
