Travelling to India - do we vax?

My family is considering travel to India, near Pune, next year. I have not vaxed our kids, ages 6 and 2. The ashram we are going to is very clean and food is safe. My husband did not get any vaxes spent 3 weeks there 3 years ago without incident, as well as elsewhere - Himalayas, Delhi. The kids would remain at the ashram most likely. But I am still concerned, never having been to India myself, & imagining the worst. Any ideas here? My daughter has a bit of OCD. Some neuro. disorders are on my dh's side of the family, including Asperger's & epilepsy, so I want to be extremely cautious re. vaxes. I may even leave my 2 year old at home with dh. He gets croup every winter in Feb (has it right now) and Feb is the time we would go to India. Any advice from those who have been there? Thanks.

Maharashtra is not a big polio zone, and that is the only big issue that we have looked at (Bangalore travel here). The only other one that would seem to be a thought in that area would be measles, but I admit it wasn't something I looked into for India specifically because we already do that one.
