SharmaQueen, here's hoping that's an implantation dip!!!

I love all this talk of living abroad, especially in Europe. We are absolutely dreaming/semi-long-term planning a move like this. I lived in Barcelona for a while (hence the name), and loved it, and would also love other parts in Europe, too...

I'm not sure how we'd do it logistically at the moment. After obsessing over it for awhile, we are trying to just stay present for a little while, and see what comes into our life...and go from there. I'm sure we'll re-visit it in a few months.

I have a TEFL certificate, so could do that. I can also teach yoga. My DH is a filmmaker, though, so it'd be a bit harder for him to just find a job. Still possible, though!

Anyway, keep up this abroad-talk

Fazer, how do you like living in Southern Spain?? Do you live in a small town or bigger city? Ah, I love Spain...have such a soft spot in my heart for it.

I also lived in Barcelona! Well, Badalona, actually- it's a small suburb to the north. It was awesome...that was pre-DD when things were easy...I used to lie on the beach all day and read books. <sigh>

I love living in Spain. Came here as part of my uni course and just loved the place. I am just over an hour from ski resorts and the same from undeveloped beaches. When the flights are on offer it's 105€ for 2 of us to fly home, but yet I'm a ferry away from africa. And the scenery, mountains, desert, ravines... I love it here. Love the country, wine, people, language. I live in the sticks and two men in the village ride donkeys. We're right up in the mountains so it's a nice safe place to bring up kids.

Film maker and he'd find it hard to find a job? Come on tell me you don't realise about all the films shot in Almeria. If you want to make the move then do it. We have one shot at life so it's too short to waste time.

And giving birth here is fantastic. More or less a natural birth in a hospital. No unnecessary interventions, actually I was put in a room and basically left to my own devices. My other half had to go and find someone when I'd felt like pushing for a while. I wanted them to check I was fully dilated first. When he finally found the matron she told me to push if I felt like it. We were also all left in peace for a few hours after the birth.

I still haven't made it to barcelona but it's the one place I would love to visit. It's just so far from me. But all the gaudi buildings. I would love to see them.

Minsca my sister and friend are teachers in the UK and to be honest I don't think foreigners would get the crappy jobs. Also I don't really think american's would be really seen as foreign. It's down the the language thing and the wierd english mentality!

But it depends on where you are offered the jobs. I personally would not want to bring up children in a city in the UK. I grew up in a small town and can't believe the fear culture that's over there now. Kids not being able to play outside? If you get a job in a private school or small town then I would take that, whichever country it's in.

I'm sure sweden's more expensive than the UK though. Don't know how that compares salary to living costs, but my friends who've been there on the bikes found it more expensive than the UK. Personally for me I think somewhere in europe teaching would be better than elsewhere when you get to the having kids stage of life. In europe things like pensions and healthcare cross over one country to another. Pensioners in the UK can get pensions paid into accounts in Spain. So you've more freedom to move around. You pay into social security in one country, you get 2 years healthcare in the next country you go to even without paying into the system.

Shwarmaqueen compare your chart to others of FF where people got pregant. Then you'll see it is an implantation dip.

I'm glad I'm not the only one amazed by my own CM. Just seeing it getting stretchy made me so happy.

Wow Fazer thanks for the positive thought! I really hope so! I don't have access to compare charts, but you're saying implantation dips can sometimes be below the coverline? I sorta feel pg, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. I'm feeling so emotional right now.

Yes, I'm also mesmorized by my CM- who knew there was such a link between all these things...CM, cervical position, boobs...women's bodies are just amazing.

That is so cool to know. Makes me want to move even more. I'm sure you are right about the UK. The job offer DH has received for the UK is in London. As much as I love visiting London, I couldn't imagine raising kids there. I would love to move to northern UK but I might be a little to close to my ex then.

The job in Sweden is in a town, so maybe that is why they are telling DH that it is cheaper there then living in the UK. Well I shouldn't say that, there exact words were "It is cheaper to buy a house here then in the UK". So other costs might be a lot higher. I know tax will be a lot higher.

In general I would love to live anywhere in Europe, two of my best friends are European, and DH good friend just moved to Spain a couple of years ago. So I feel like we would already have a good network of friends over there even if they all lived in three different countries.

haha thanks! I hope you are right I just don't know if normal is really normal... you know? Like if there is borderline stuff or whatever and the doctor just doesn't have the time or whatever. The nurse said I can pick up the results if I want a hard copy. I think I will do that hahaha The nurse also said I should time intercourse better, but duh, it's hard when you don't know you will ovulate (or if you will)... I am hoping the maca works this month for me!!!

I'm 14dpo and 2-3 days from AF's usual arrival, and got 3 BFNs today - one internet cheapie, one Answer, and one Equate (Walmart brand).

It's funny...last night DH mentioned that if we're having kids, he ought to work on a 10-year plan to get work outside the country (he lived abroad for a few years at a formative age, and wants our kids to get the same experience), and now everyone is talking about it here!

*angry face* They rescheduled my MRI to Friday since I have the vague possibility of being pregnant. Darn my no-test promise, I could have peed on a stick and gotten my head scanned today!

It was funny though, they said, "Uh, so you aren't sure if you're pregnant or not...?" (both men) and I was like, nope, but I'll know in a few days. "Okay, when do you want to reschedule, next week sometime?" I said that Friday will be good. "Uh... will you know by then, for real?"

OF COURSE I said... My LP is only 12 days I'll know for sure after Thursday

Both of them were looking at me like I grew a second head! HA!

I like having an LP long enough to be proper but short enough to make my 2ww less long
