dying suede moccasins

I want to dye my brown suede moccasins black. Has anyone done this before? Im not sure how to or if its even possible.

You can get leather dye, is there a tandy leather in your area? Or a craft/hobby store? That stuff is generally pretty toxic I'm sure considering the smell, but with ventilation it will certainly work.

I've dyed leather before. I used dye meant for protein based fibers such as wool or silk (as opposed to cellulose fiber like cotton or hemp) It worked great! Stir the vat a lot to make sure the colour is even.
