8. Is there anything else you would like to share?

Nah. Is that bad?
LOL! No, you won't lose any brownie points.

I loved how you chose to describe your wife and son. I could seriously feel the love through the computer. Mush, mush, sigh.

i am an open book - i will share anything! i love to read and knit. i used to self-publish a mini-comic, but i had to give it up when i started working full-time. my eventual goal is for lemurmommies and i to both land part-time librarian gigs somewhere so we can both do a little work in our profession, but also stay at home a little bit, but still bring in more money than i make being the only breadwinner (we'd get 48 hours a week pay instead of my 35). life is meant to be lived part-time, so you have time to do EVERYTHING!!
Thanks for being so willing to share. I enjoyed getting to know you better. I really agree with you, irt to spending time with your family, and just wanting to be with them. My wife does work from home full-time, and it is so nice knowing she is always there. It is good for our daughter to have her at home too. One of these days, I will be home full-time too. We're working on it.

I am so glad I found this board when I did. I think it has absolutely, fundamentally changed a lot of ways I've thought about things. And, I'm absolutely terrified of having a baby, because it means so much to me.
I completely get you, on both of these things. MDC has done wonders in educating me. I hardly have time to post, I spend so much time just *reading* and trying to take it all in.

I get that being terrified of having a baby. I want a child so badly, but I worry about *everything*... not getting it just right.

Yes. I'm making very loose plans, because I'm relying on a sperm bank, and I'm not sure if I'll be approved or not. Things are moving along slowly, so fingers crossed
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I think the waiting is the hardest part. Do you know how long it will take to get an answer? I'll keep you in my thoughts.

I'm sorry for your break-up, but I'm glad it was a good thing for you. Destructive relationships are bad news, but still, breaking up is quite hard to do.

I have just started dating again! Its nice to meet someone new!
Congrats! New relationships can be so much fun!! I hope it ends up being a wonderful thing for you.

Embryo donation seems like a great option. I'll keep you in my thoughts as you continue figuring out which route will be the one for you, and as you start the journey. I hope you have quick success!

I research and teach about sexuality and social psychology.
Such a fascinating field. I really enjoyed those classes in school.

How are you liking CO so far? I bet it is quite a change!

*fingers crossed* that you will very soon be leaving the TTC world. Good luck!

1. Give us three sentences or less about your self/life.
I am 31 years old, mommy to a wonderful, crazy, energetic, 3 year old. I work full-time for a non-profit agency.

2. Do you have (a) significant other(s)? If yes, tell us more about her/him/them.
Yes, DP and I have been together since my senior year in high school and we had a commitment ceremony in 1998. She is a wonderful person I cannot imagine not having in my life. She currently is a SAHM.

3. Is someone in your family currently pregnant? If yes, when are you due?
NA

4. Are you currently TTC? If yes, how long have you been trying? Have you had any previous successful TTC attempts?
Nope

5. Are you making plans to TTC soon? If yes, how is it going?
Nope - we will only have one child.

6. Do you have (a) child(ren)? If yes, tell us more about him/her/them.
DS is three and is my little wild thing. We affectionately call him "monster". He has the most beautiful smile one could imagine and long, curly hair. Before his birth I could never have imagined how much I could love one little being.

We have three sons. Lukas and Jasper are twins and they just turned SIX. Zeben is two. Jasper likes soccer. Lukas likes Kung Fu (though he's never taken any classes, he remains obsessed). Zeben likes animals. They ALL like taking baths and running around the house naked.
I absolutely love your kids names. Your kids sound so fun. Thanks for sharing. They sound like they are ALL boy. lol

I have another friend due in June. Seems like a great month for babies! And another boy... that is really exciting! Are the kids excited to have a new brother?

The best thing that has happened since the start of 2009 is getting to stay home with our baby!
Awww, he sounds wonderful. sigh... new babies are so much fun. I think it is great that your wife will be able to stay with him when you go back to work.

Sounds like you have a very exciting household!!
